Low Testosterone & Treatments

A member of my family was just diagnosed with very low natural test levels; to ‘boost’ them back to normal his doctor prescribed him 250mg/wk of a test blend similar to sustanon-250. This doesnt sound right to me at all.

I wanted to know if HCG therapy or clomid might work better for his condition instead of masking his problems with a neverending weekly dose of a measley 250mg…? Thnx in advance. B

250 of a sustanon type blend weekly is a lot more exogenous testosterone than any person makes endogenously.
Unless the person has taken exogenous testosterone/steroids for an extended period of time and their body is used to does extremely higher, say a gram a week, then this is probably a sufficient dose.

Hmmmm, not to hijack this thread or be too argumentative, but is 250 mgs of test a week really that high? Supposedly on average the human male secretes about 30 mgs of test per day in their peak. Do the math…

Anyways, i agree with what the original poster was asking. It may be worth while to ask if there is another treatment option besides TRT.

Actually the average man produces more like 5-10mg’s a day. Or 35-70mg’s a week. So 250 is about 3xhigher than average. This is why most starter cycles start you with 500mg’s a week.

‘the average man’ What does that mean? The average adolescent male of 18? Or the average man of 35? Average man of 25?

The average normal young male, 18-25, but averages are only averages. And how ones body uses the T is critical too.

Body weight is part of the equation.

Most on TRT will respond very well to 100mg/wk of test cyp which yields 70mg of test per week. That is 10mg per day. So the numbers work out. But not all get by on 100mg/wk. For some the T seems to not show up in the BW.

T is not the whole solution. Many also need HCG and AI.
