What might be a common dose of test for HRT?
I’ve read anywhere from 100 to 400mg per week.

I’m up in Canada but my doctor had me on 200mg every 2 weeks then we switched to 100mg every week to try an avoid the spike and trough effect.
He gave me the impression that generally speaking, 400mg a month is the common therapeutic dose.
For any given individual however, that may NOT be the OPTIMAL dose for treating the severity of the symptoms of testosterone deficiency.
Anyone else with different info?
Cheers,
Kaleb.
100mg per week is the dose that closely mimics natural production in healthy males. It gets pretty much everyone over 800ng TT. This is 10g in androgel.
Problems that most people have are due to the host of other issues that are common with low test and/or aging are
Infrequent injects - once a week isn’t gonna cut it. At the very least one should strive for every 3 days, and every other day would be even better
Estradoil - it seems like 90 percent of the people with low test often have elevated estradoil(e2). E2 does not need to be over range to cause problems. One should shoot for a number in the 20’s.
Often overlooked, but with low test often come thyroid problems as well. T3 is the most important number. Number should be in upper range.
GH - again, number should be in upper range, T and GH your in harmony, so if one is off usually the other us as well.
200mg test every 14 days.
100mg/wk works well for those who respond normally. There are a few that don’t get the expected total test serum levels who need higher doses. Where that T goes so that it does not show up? I don’t know, but they may have higher rates of SHBG clearance by the liver.

Me thinks they might be doing a few things wrong.
Some guys are still stuck in the stone age and injecting into the glutes. Absorbtion here is nowhere near as good as the quad.
Also, as Ive stated before, E2 does not need to be over range to cause issues. It can clog up T receptor parking spots. One could inject T in gonzo amounts all day and that would be akin to shooting bottle rockets at a tank. Useless.
And again, higher doses of T only increase E2 which increases SHBG(as ksman stated). SHBG renders extra T useless as well.
For me i take 200 every week
Hi,
I was given this site by another forum and I’m glad I found this thread.
I just found out that my Test level is 247 and I’m 44 y/o. I have no problems with sex drive or function. And I’m still able to build muscle failry well consdidering my age. But My energy and overall zeal has been in the crapper for like 5 years. I’m like 2 totally diffrent people from 5-7 years ago. Diet is clean but 6 pack is far gone no matter what the hell I do. I’m about 18% bf. Never thought I’d ever see it that high as my genetics have always been good to me
After an MRI, No indication of Pituitary issues so I’m hoping by getting HRT into the normal ranges of my age I will get my zeal for life back because it sux to live with a poor outlook in life, very little energy and feeling so empty half the time
Only thing I hope is that even by only getting into the normal levels doesnt increase risks significantly. And I still have a good head of hair so I hope that DHT wont screw that up.
How man cc’s of a 100 mg dose of Cyp would be given every week as a normal HRT dose? 3 cc’s per shot?
How many cc’s for a 100mg dose varies with the strength of the product that you are using. If your Test Cyp were prescribed as 200mg/cc than you would use 1/2 of 1 cc. Read the label on the box to determine the strength of your product or ask your pharmacist.

Oh now I see. OK, Thanks, That makes sense
