Low Carb Meals Before Bed

What do you eat as your last 2 meals before bed? Normally for me its:

Meal 1
~3 hours before bed: 40-60 grams of protein of either salmon/beef/chicken + 2 cups steamed broccoli drizzled with olive oil + 1 whole avocado.

Meal 2
~20 mins or so before bed: 1 can of tuna mixed with hot sauce, chili powder, lime, and a bit of mayo + 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1 serving mixed nuts (cashews, pecans, almonds, and walnuts).

I’m trying to eat enough to gain weight but at the same time I am trying to avoid carbs as best as I can since I want to limit the amount of fat I gain.

I am just wondering what the rest of you eat (in accordance with your goals) or if anyone can make some suggestions for what I should add/subtract from these last 2 meals?

My second to last meal varies a lot.

My final meal just before bed lately has been one of the following:

  1. 8-12 oz steak

  2. 8 oz hamburger with cheese and bacon on top

  3. protein shake made with 2 scoops low-carb chocolate whey and 2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 scoop Casein protein powder, 2 tbsp ground flaxseed, 5-10 fish oil capsules

The burger with cheese and bacon on top sounds awesome, you’ve just made my nights more enjoyable.

last 2 meals

  • chicken breasts salad and peanuts.

  • 5 eggs 2 whole / 3 whites omlette with tomatoes on it and a slice of gouda cheese grated on top.
