Just a quick question. If you use AAS when dieting down to roughly 8-10% BF obviously you will end up holding much more LBM then if you were to do this drug free, yes? What can you expect to happen once you go off the drugs at this point? Do you pretty much immediately start gaining fat again, or is this condition somewhat maintainable?
Not really sure what you mean here. Any fat gained post cycle would be a consequence of diet. Im guessing your curious about what happens while in PCT…Not much, just keep your diet neutral and your weight will pretty much stay the same IME
It’s also going to come down to what kind of metabolism you have and what your body currently considers ‘normal’. The further away from normal you go with the help of AAS the less likely you are going to be able to maintain the condition naturally. That’s what makes sense to me anyway
Would it be correct to say that the user would indeed gain fat if his “on” cycle diet was continued throughout PCT & later due to his metabolism coming back down to normal levels (creating a surplus in Kcals)? I guess lowering his macros to match his “normal” metabolism levels in order to maintain low BF would be necessary and eventually diminish the results of the AAS. Is this right?
Goddamnit, there are so many variables in this we could go round and round in circles.
OP, if you diet down whilst on drugs you will hold more muscle then if you don’t. At the same time though, if you hold all your muscle while on steroids and lose 2-5lbs without drugs it is not that dramatic a difference, yes (all hypothetical of course)?
Vette, if his on cycle diet was geared towards sparing muscle and losing bodyfat would he not also do the same thing (adjusting calories of course) when he is off cycle??
Concerning your second question, yes, you can maintain that condition but adjustments have to be made regarding your diet and nutrition. One of the main concerns when coming off of Anabolic Steroids is controlling your stress hormone(s) (cortisol) and kicking in your natural androgen(s). If you begin working out rigoursly whilst recovering from your cycle you will almost certainly catabalyze some muscle. Alas, like I said, A LOT OF FRIGGIN VARIABLES!!!
I have found that I am able to maintain the low bf but like the one poster said it mainly comes down to diet. If you let the diet start getting out of control you will go back to where you were. Of course you can’t stay exactly as lean as you are when on winstrol and whatever other cutting agent but you can control how lean you stay based off diet and cardio, hopes this helps
I’m someone who has a naturally higher BF (I was around 200lbs 20%bf and very active before I started gear)…when I stop gear my BF starts to creep up again very quickly and my muscle mass starts to slowly drop as the weeks go unless I do something about it
I’ve found the use of GH as a part of PCT and a bridge between cycles has not only helped me stay lean but in some cases get leaner off cycle without losing very much in terms of muscle mass if any at all…it takes very little GH to accomplish this (4iu plit into 2 shots AM and Pre or Post workout 3x/w on your heaviest days is generally what I have done in the past and what others have done who i have consulted with great success)…I am totally sold on GH for this purpose, if it wasn’t so expensive I would never go off but to at least get through the first month or two post cycle when your natty test recovering and your body would naturally be trying to return to hemostasis of being smaller and fatter it does the trick.
If you have the means of affording it i recommend giving it a try. Combined with good diet off cycle it has done the trick for me.
