Losthog—2018 First year

In Illinois they give schools like 6 weeks to practice during the summer. My school did 3 in June, 2 in July, and 1 in August for doubles. No more than 12 hours a week I think, so we always went 7-10am 4 days/week. Even that felt like we were cramming. 2 hours of drills and running plays, then half an hour to lift 9:30-10. It sucks that you guys have to wait so long

Coached for an hour. The deload couldn’t have come at a better time. Gonna be hot long hours outside for the next month. Getting up at 5am and zero down time before going to work is something I haven’t missed :joy:

All three of us running this program are ready for it to end. 9 weeks of grind is too much I like 6 week cycles.

Great grind for 9 weeks Hog.
I’m about to start my last 3 weeks next week.
Looking forward to it, I’m still wondering what to do for variations

Way to go Big Hog
Nice grind through the Dark Horse, Really hoping it will pay off. Otherwise I’m feeling screwed through the last wave.

It paid off in experience in variations and how to cycle main lifts if nothing’s else. I plan on keeping variations as a part of my programming and emom sets. Using bands has been fun and I plan to keep that a part of training also.

Deload for me. I may just take a week off.

Have you seen Brians video on Deload?
Very inspirational

This is the part I’ve been waiting for… Eat big and hydrate hard. Meditate n shit and stay on top of your supplementation, you’ve worked too hard for too long to let any little things slip and cost you lbs on the bar in a few days. I know you know all that, but I want you to destroy some PRs… Throw up 275+/405+/500+ for me big guy

Funny thing I woke up this morning ready to hit some weights. A good sign!

I’m feeling tight. I’ll be so tight by mid week it will be crazy. My wife bought me a 90 min massage for our anniversary I have yet to use. I may find some time this week to slip off and get that done.

Woke up 270 this morning. Yikes!

Awesome Hog, The log started with you trying to lean out a bit, and now look.
Next year we’ll lean out for summer

It’s tough to win the T-ransformation challenge if you’re lean when it starts!

So you liked the speed work?

I liked working on set up and clean reps. I’m not sure it helped much outside of that and stabilizer muscle work due to the bands

My thoughts exactly.

Stretch son!!! I’ve heard that an evening walk to keep the blood flowing can work wonders (I’ve done it myself a few times, I’m fairly neutral) if the situation is right. And 270, Jesus man… I’m gone for a few days and now you’re a bear. That’s insane, congratulations!!

It’s football season I’m getting plenty of walking. Yeah I’m not too happy about 270. I do like this 270 better than the 270 of a year and a half ago

Just a check in. I’m deloading and not doing any lifts this deload. It may be a mistake, but I seriously haven’t even had the urge to lift yet. Usually I’m chomping at the bit to get back into training. The Darkhorse nearly burned me out…
