Losing Weight. Why?

I think you are looking at the scale a bit too much, friend.

If you are losing weight, increase calories. Preferably carbs.

If you aren’t regressing in gym performance, you aren’t losing muscle.
“weight” is a very broad term.

Thanks! Forgive me if I’m totally off here, but could it be I’m down on glycogen stores as well?

Yes.

When you step on the scale, you are weighing your:

  • fat stores
  • muscle stores
  • glycogen stores
  • bones*
  • water weight (often dictated by sodium and water intake)
  • organs*
  • food in your digestive track
  • and probably some other stuff I’m missing too

The two with the stars next to them are the only two that don’t really change.

Thanks!

Sodium and water intake have stayed the same.

Food the same.

All the others, are probably true!
