Losing Lbs and Getting Leaner

why the fuck did I click on that?
know what i’d tell that kid to do? bulk! put on another 50 Lbs. at least. seriously, if you want to look like that, then lift, eat a lot, and keep playin soccer. you won’t have to diet at all with the running soccer players do, plus the weight lifting. That particular physique is not a terribly difficult one to attain.

oh, and don’t worry about getting too “massy”. I promise that it will happen slowly enough that you’ll be able to see it coming.

I’m pretty sure you all just got trolled…

LOL WTF JUST HAPPEND

Can someone PLEASE help me write a specific program?

This is just getting f-ing annoying. I tried to help you out since I also play soccer (but without being a scrawny weasel), provide you with a program that would help your build and on the field… but if you are looking for someone who will just devote a bunch of time to creating a custom program for you for free? Ain’t gonna happen. You will not even look like that guy in the video without more muscle… but you are unwilling to attempt that. Basically, we can’t help you then.

Good Lord… I am kicking myself for even bothering to waste as much time as I did trying to think of a response. When will I ever learn???

Read 20 pounds of hollywood muscle. It will help.

Then go read a book on not being a tool.

What is even funnier is posters like “vermilion” and the usual “you guys just pile on to pick on a poor defenseless poster who wants to lose weight and doesn’t like muscles!!!”

Why the fuck is anyone on this board if they don’t want to build any muscle mass at all?

I’ve read enough…going back to camel-toe page!!

I’m coming right behind you! Well not literally right behind you, could be dangerous with the camel-toe thread… and not coming… as in… OK FORGET IT!

I’ll take a crack at this as a guy who has been a lightweight (for sports) for most of my life and at least managed to maintain some semblance of muscle and strength while doing so. Although some folks here would doubtless call me a skinny metrosexual, at least I could deadlift 385 and squat 300 at around 160 lbs.

You probably look the way you do because your diet and weightlifting take a back seat to your sport. This is how it should be to some extent (specially the lifting) however it is very possible to maintain a leaner more powerful look than you have. You have to be a little patient and remember that your on field perforamnce is the primary goal and looks are secondary.

I’m not a soccer player and have no expertise in sport specific training advice for you. I would suggest first building a strength base in the off-season with lower rep work. 5x5 8x3 10x3, etc… with compound movements like squats, deadlifts, dips, weighted pullups and the like for 8 weeks. Keep it full body, keep workouts brief and don’t waste time. Closer to the season work more on speed/power. Cleans, sprints, plyometrics. During the season you want to take it easy and try to maintain your lean mass and work around injuries. This is all generic sports periodization and you can find info in hundreds of places on the web.

As for diet I would guess this is your main issue. As a soccer player I don’t think you need to go on a low carb diet to get ‘cut’. Keep a food log and find out how much you eat. You’re probably (again this is just a guess since you provided zero info) burning a lot playing but eating a lot of empty calories, refined sugar and other crap. Your diet should be high in good carbs like oatmeal, yams, brown rice, beans and such. You should be getting at least a gram of protein per lb of bodyweight. Chicken breast, ground turkey, fish, protein shakes/milk after workouts and don’t be afraid of a fat juicy steak from time to time. And eat your damn veggies. Cut out the soda, candy, donuts, fries and the rest of that crap.

Absolutely do not get caught up in the “I don’t want to get big” stuff. You are not going to accidentally become arnold. You don’t need to lose weight. If you stay the same or even gain a little but reduce bodyfat it will be to your benefit as an athlete. Do some reading create a plan according to some specific goals and then post here. You’ll get better responses.

I hope that guy in the video realizes that maybe 100 girls now want to go out with him, whereas 10,000 men have pleasured themselves to the video. Be careful of the internet folks.
