i guess this should be moved to the new forum ![]()
so yeah finally back in patra and even after 3 weeks of no training i got a new record
squats… uh… i dont remember haha i think i couldnt do 120kgs though, i did some 115 i think. anyway my legs are gonna be sore like shit but im gonna eat tons of protein to get over it quick and get back to it
i also did some … i dont know if they even were quarter squats… but with 190kgs set the pins right so that i wouldnt die. i did it to get my shoulders used to more weight so less doesnt feel so bad.
also deadlifted 177.5 kgs new record to full lockout. next time 180 i hope will happen. i need to get my squat up though so that i dont get my back injured and using more leg drive will help with that.
did some overhead presses, but since im shakey as heck with them i then again thought i’d do the same like the quarter squats. loaded it up and held the bar in lockout with 100kgs. at least now i know my arms could maybe make a 100kg jerk. kinda cool haha.
im gonna keep doing these a bit. like once every couple weeks or something. lets see if they’ll help.
oh i also could do a chin up despite the fact that ive like… gained a lot of weight. wonder how that happened but anyway.
also set some goals for my birthday being 6th july .
i hope to get a 200kg deadlift.
i hope to get my squat to 150kgs.
overhead press… maybe 80kg.
front squat around 120-130.
that would be the best birthday gift ive ever gotten
today im sore like shit again. i walked down the stairs like an idiot when i went out…
so im probably gonna skip today and go tomorrow. lots of meat today. tomorrow hopefully warming up will make the soreness go away
You might try backing off for a bit isntead of always trying to progress every workout. Yes, heresy I know, but a deloading week every now and then wouldnt hurt you and could potentially create a much better overall response from your training.

Sounds like an attainable goal! Great progress! I wish I could move around that much weight.
thank you, and it will happen, the higher the weights the faster the strength progress
ive decided to try and stop milk… for a week or two. im intolerant to it though i love it and drink it even if it bothers me lol its worth it but i also read it cause acne problems to some and i have tons of acne on my back. anyway, if not for any other reason, i wanna see if the acne will go away. also heard some weird stuff about catabolism and anabolism or something because im intolerant to milk.
but anyway im gonna try and see what happens… too bad they dont sell raw milk in greece ![]()
i know… i would. i kinda reached the point that i needed a deload before i got sick. but then i got sick for a week… then i went out of town… so thats around 5 weeks of barely doing much so i dunno… all that rest? do i still need a deload? it kinda came on its own on the squat haha
woot
120kg back squat
100kg front squat
180kg deadlift
and its video
i think i could have done more but after that i kinda felt tired. maybe next time ill try 182.5
front squat 560, 290, 1100, 1105, 1107.5, 1110.
ive no idea how the heck i made this, i definitely got stronger but my stance may have been kinda narrow. not sure. anyway, next time ill start from 105 and see.
pendlay rows 5380
overhead press 465, 167.5, 1*65
next time im hoping to get my back squat and deadlift up again.

I love how in these types of videos, 90% of it is the person psyching themselves up for the lift. I used to laugh, until I realized that I do it, too, and it helps. Good job, bro!

no actually at first i was getting chalk, then i kinda wanted to get my feet in the right position… and then get my back in the right position and breathe right. idk. breathing is kinda weird

Ah. Maybe I’m the weird one, then, lol
nah i do a little bit of psyching up too. it doesnt really help much imo if you are focused anyway. if not then it helps you focus and then you put max acceleration and form so its all good
ok i read this
http://www.T-Nation.com/findArticle.do?article=291diff2
the first part about functional.
and now im thinking of squatting 3-4 times a week and deadlifting 2-3.
i already kinda stopped following rippetoe exactly so i might as well go even more… random?
anyway im just glad i learnt i can go more often to the gym. plus the soreness has gone away.

I find it focuses my focus, lol. Actually, I feel that focus and intensity are two different things, and when I psych myself up for my working sets, I’m noticeably more intense.
horrible workout today. either cause i ate some crap yesterday or cause of bad sleep. i barely got out 1 back squat with 120 kg and i coudlnt do a 180kg deadlift again.
with the squats at some point the bar went too forward and i had to get on one knee(no i didnt ask the squat rack to marry me) so that i wouldnt fall but i got out of it fine.
then on the 180kg deadlift i got dizzy like never before, i got it to my knees then let it back down, then my arm started twitching and crap.
anyway i dont get why i keep forgetting i shouldnt eat crap. i always eat them thinking they have lots of calories and stuff and they help and i forget that whenever i dont eat right i start doing horrible at the gym.
front squat 560, 290, 1100, 1105, 1110, 1112.5, 3105, 1112.5(way better than the first time), 0*115, i was exhausted by then. its weird… its as if i tell my mind to do something but it forgets to make the actual movement or something. either way im sure ill get 115 next time, probably 117.5
deadlift for some reason i couldnt even do 170 so i decided to do some fast deadlifts with 100kgs and 120kgs… and i did. i realized that the pull till the knees is far harder for me than the lockout.
did some overhead presses, im gonna try to have much stricter form on them.
also some power cleans.
anyway im happy about the front squats. i was awake for 18 hours or so at the time i went to the gym, my sleeping hours suck…
