I’m a Christian, but fringe/extremist groups like that make me cringe. People’s idiocy in taking the Bible out of context to justify their crazy viewpoints amazes and disgusts me.

"Sounds pretty gay. Let’s lift weights to a phony space God who’s existence is based on a bunch of fairy tales all put together by guys less than a couple thousand years ago.

How about you lift because it’s fun?

I bet they all use holy water instead of Dbol."

Not to change the subject, but Jesus in a not a “space God”.

Agreed.

It’s unfortunate that Christianity gets a bad rap from the extremists and those with agendas rather than following the truth.

The Lord’s Gym is a great idea and is a wonderful way to reach out to the community (Christians and non-Christians). Even if someone doesn’t believe or become a Christian, they can hopefully be surrounded by Christians and have a positive experience as a result.

Probably the only way to make a Gym profitable. Atleast without signing up 3,000 members… which 2,500 of never show up.

Ditto on both counts.

And Makavali–aren’t you Hindu? I seem to remember a post where you said you are, though it may have been someone else. If you are, does your post above not make you a big hypocrit?

I second this. I think it’s a great idea. I’ve got one of the t-shirts, but never knew it was a real gym. Pretty cool.

Amen to that. Arkansas is slightly lacking in gyms period though, so I should count my blessings

Not so long ago I would have said sure, I’m Hindu. Things change, I’m taking the apathetic agnostic route.
