Some decent PR’s the last couple of workouts ![]()

I’m going to have to steal this little gem of a saying…
Wait til you hit 40 brother… this is just called “life” at that point =)
man, I miss a couple weeks hitting up everyone’s logs and you start dropping 20 pound DL PR’s like panties at a Bon Jovi concert… sheeesh
Hey I’m allowed one week to only have to hit squats and deads once. Plus bench and OHP PRs, fuck off
Thanks man. Taking a couple deload days and hitting my new 531 cycle on Sunday, pretty excited
It’s all yours dude
I’m too young to be old damn it!
Yeah dude, I’m liking it. Glad my DL started moving again. I was worried I was gonna have to start pulling sumo and eating butt
Well I never…!

2/2/18
SGHP:
135x8
185x3
Chinese Pull:
225x1
245x1
275x2x1 PR felt good
T-bar row:
90x10
115x10
135x8 PR (coulda done a lot more, but my elbow started flaring up again. No point in pushing through an injury on a deload session)

Just got off a 48 hour shift this morning. Had a combined total of 5 hours of sleep and 2800 calories Saturday and yesterday. Haven’t gotten out of bed yet today. Anybody have any advice on lower back recovery? Mine is still feeling sore and cranky from that 475 PR a week ago
man, did you legs go numb?
Mine do if I sit on the john for more than 5 minutes… I can’t imagine a marathon, 48 hour crap session…
“psssst, I think he meant, shift”

just hot shower and rest brother. I used to pop pills for mine but trying to stay away from all the pain killers/muscle relaxers now.
Lol fair enough, you got me
Some people say some super light squats gets blood flow into the area and helps…
My daughter had some back issues just above the pelvis. I got her to do some light squat work and it did help. Keep it light and put it down before you get any tweeks or twinges. Bar or something way light.

Light day after a 5 day lay off. I was planning having a deload anyway since I’m trying to heal up a couple minor, nagging injuries, but it wasn’t meant to turn into not doing shit. Oh well, time to move forward
Squat:
135x5
185x5
225x3
275x3
315x5
365x3
Bench: (135-225 all paused)
135x5
185x5
225x5
275x4
Close grip bench: all paused
225x2x3
Lower back and right elbow felt fine. Couple feel myself tipping forward a bit on my squats, but that’s probably just because I haven’t gotten any work on em in a while. Time to buckle down. Comps less than 10 weeks out
Low back pain, this has helped me a lot.
AND it’s very relaxing. Some nice music, and I do move my arms along the floor to release the shoulders and upper back.
Been doing these a decent bit lately. Definitely feels good on my back
Also, will be retrying the 405 deadlift challenge tomorrow. Will see if I can actually get at least the full 30 with 405 this time
That is a tough challenge. I can’t even lift 405
for one, not even close.
So it’s about 80% of your PR right.
I might try it with 80 % in the future, when I hit 405 for a pr.
