Solid day. Went surprisingly well.

225x1 @9 PR. I’ve only hit this once before and it was a lot harder and with elbow sleeves the first time. Felt like I could have hit 235 this time

DB bench SS w/ leg press

DB Lat raises SS w/ tricep cable push down

15sx 12,8 / 120x12,5. (Rest pauses)

Tried out doing my assistance with a “best damn” set up. Warm up set with one all out set per exercise. Mad pumps.

Edit: actually got to go outside today since it wasn’t cold or rainy. Finished up workout with a 1-2 mile walk around the park. Hardcore, I know

For anyone keeping tabs I’m starting a hypertrophy block. Push/Pull style. jacking up assistance moves and cutting rest way down. I’m still trying to get the hang of the HIT style workouts, so I haven’t been doing any finishers the last couple sessions cuz the workout themselves have had me sucking wind lol. I’ll get back to em probably next workout

Made a couple hour drive and went to Nashville to see the Bullet for my Valentine, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold concert. It was the first night of the tour and it was fucking LIT. Sold out an entire arena.
I got belligerently drunk off a twelve pack cuz I hardly ever drink. I don’t even remember bar hopping afterwards. Woke up in a hotel room with a massive hangover. And:

This was the heaviest I’ve ever done carries, I’ve only ever used dumbbells that go to 100lbs or 100lb duffel bags. It was was a blast. Kept the rest at 60 seconds for the first 5, then bumped it to 90 for the last two sets cuz my lungs were killing me in the cold ass air. I was planning on doing 25x8 but after 6 I was like “dude, fuck this” so just went the 50yds back to home base. That shit was murder and I started to black out like 5yds from the finish line lol

Edit: just realized I didn’t do muh curlz today. I can feel my biceps shriveling up

Thanks man! Yeah I wasn’t expecting much, so a big PR was awesome lol. And I love Push Press, I spent so much time doing it for football and rugby that I’ve got the leg drive technique/timing down perfect. Now if I could get my strict OHP to not suck so bad I’d be in business :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
