I agree with you. I think it is wrong as hell. Anyone taking their kid into a store to help steal some clothes or a 27" tv has some serious problems. For the record, considering the people trapped in attics and dying due to this disaster, I would rather see police and the National Guard focusing more on that. Those stores will claim insurance. Those lives are the highest priority…not a Sony Flat Screen with HD compatibility.

I think that says way more of our society than it does the media alone. I have been asking around for decent charities to donate to. Plus, I have been at work all day so I haven’t seen the ongoing looting footage. I would much rather more focus was placed on getting these people to shelter and finding them temporary jobs in the mean time instead of looking at who is looting.

That’s the point, I don’t care. I don’t walk around wondering who is committing what crimes. I don’t walk through a neighborhood and only hide my wallet if a black guy passes. Ok maybe we should start a new thread, but I donated 20 bucks to the red cross for the relief effort. Just to get a bit of positive back in here.
The looters are definately not in the right. To call them animals or scum of the earth, i’m not so sure. Yea it sucks, but I agree there are much more important things to work on and worry about. The biggest whores I see is the MSM for focusing on looting so much. I also don’t think it’s fair to bring race into this, It is in my view way more of an economical situation thing than race. The biggest thing with poor blacks is they live in cities, close together and sometimes feed of eachother causing a media event. If you took all the redneck fucks up by me, and clumped them all together out of thier trailer parks and into cities, you would likely have the exact same thing happen. I agree with this wholeheartedly! I give to my community through several different avenues. I will not list them here so as not to sound like I am bragging. I also mentor young kids of different ethnic backgrounds. I am trying my best to make as much of a positive impact as I can. I have also found, while extra resources, monetary and otherwise, can certainly be helpful, having extra is not required in order to make a difference in your community. You would be surprised what a positive difference you can make without it costing you any money at all. In many cases it will only cost you the time invested.

Tell that to the Chinese, Vietnamiese, or Mexican person who comes to this country with .25 cents in his pocket and works his butt off and soon opens a restaurant and becomes self supportive.
Who gives a ‘bleep’ of color of a person in this situation? I completely understand “stealing” in order to survive. I saw people taking non-perishables, Gatorade, etc. Then I saw those who were taking rolls of paper, and stuff that didn’t make sense. I was thinking…where in the hell are you going to take that or use it?

Well then, this is good news for me. Considering my background/conditions, I have no reason to work whatsoever. I’m immediately quitting my job and shall have the government support me for the rest of my life. Also, I expect back pay for the past 20 years AND want reimbursement for all the taxes I paid over the years. I hope there are a lot of tax payers here to support me!
