Looking for some input for my first cycle.
Planning to use test cyp at 200/250mg a week for 14 weeks in total also in hand start anavar 8 weeks into the cycle until the end of the whole cycle but I am not sure what dosage to run? I’m not looking to make drastic gains but to get an idea of what results I can get from my first IM/SUBQ compound.
I have trained for more then 10 years, have experienced in orals before such as anavar and I have responded well to it and favoured it, have dabbled in pro hormones years ago when that was popular and responded well to that aswell as trying SARMS which I did not find that satisfying, my training is advanced and experienced, my diet is like see-saw but not a junk monster.
I’m 30 years old, 5’7 weighing at around 100kg. Body fat I can only guess 20/25% or less I am quite lean in some body parts. I have not touched any enchancing compounds for nearly 2 years now
Update’ I done a shoddy BF% test and it comes to 22%

My use of “quite lean” is very near to “very lean.”

I don’t know how accurate my scales are as it ‘measures’ my BF but it says 24% but comparing that to what other 20-25%’s on how they fit in that group I would say I look leaner, I do suspect having visceral fat
I know you said you don’t want any drastic gains, so that begs the question of why do AAS in the first place. You’re also guessing your BF % at 25 so let’s say 25-30 really. If this were me, I’d lose weight first. If you wanna use some Var to help with that for 6-8 weeks, go for it.
When you want to put some muscle on and experience the benefits of a real test cycle, come back after that, take 350-500mg of test and eat/lift for growth.
I’m guessing yes but comparing myself to 25% and 30% I do not carry that much BF and do not look anywhere near that, I think the reason for this cycle is more leaning towards better well being hence the low dosage and getting some benefit, I have trained for 16 years, know how to eat and diet when suited, should I be leaning more toward a TRT cycle or stick with what I plan
No such thing as a TRT cycle; you’re either on TRT or you’re cycling AAS. If you want to explore replacement and have some blood work to back it up, yeah go for that. You may get what you’re looking for just with that

You’re 5’7” 220lbs. Without any other information that is huge. For reference I’m same height and 205 in my avatar, that’s about 14-15% BF. You are either a genetic beast or being dishonest with yourself about BF levels.
IMO, try to get to around 15% BF before cycling. Steroids help maintain muscle while on a cut but they don’t actually enhance fat loss much unless your natural hormones are really subpar. Steroid are for building muscle.
