Looking to cut seriously never done it need help

I think you’re probably going much harder than you need to for week 1, and it’s going to give you little room to adjust as the diet progresses. I’d think about adding 500 calories (since you’re currently averaging closer to 2000 than 2300) back in there, don’t panic for the first 4 days when your weight jumps back up, and see if you can get some weight loss started from a higher baseline.

This is very good advice. Your avg cals are already pretty low, and you can only cut so much. I had plenty of clients in the past who I had to work their avg intake up over a few months before a cut because,.. well, math -lol

If you do see a “sudden weight jump” in a short duration, just remember that it’s likely water and glycogen. It takes time to synthesize new tissue.

Looking back over my old journals and my avg intake was fairly high enough (~3400 avg) that my first actual cut I was still eating 2900 cals most days which wasn’t too painful in hindsight.
