Has anyone ordered from www.strengthequipment.net? What are their prices like? I have seen them mentioned but, have not seen any pricing.

I have known Steve Dewitt and used his equipment since I started competing in powerlifting in 1987, and his equipment rocks. I have a custom built power rack and lat pull/low row combo that he built for me. It is very heavy duty and it takes the abuse that you plan on throwing at it. In my opinion there are no comparisons of equipment out there. If I had the money I would outfit my whole gym with his equipment. I also know that when I had the chance to train at Quads Gym in Calumet that they had a number of his pieces there.
He does not skimp on his equipment builds and his prices are competitive. To get pricing you need to give him a call and discuss what you want and what you need.

Does that infrared heater work well? I was thinking of buying a couple from northern tool for my weightroom.
They do.
I have five of them in each corner of my gym and then one placed in the center. When I actually do train I turn on all five of them at once and allow the gym to warm up. In about an hour the place warms up from 45 degrees to almost 60, by the time I am done training the gym will be close to 62 degrees.
They do run a little bit more in the amperage department. I had to put two on their own circuit and three on a separate circuit. I ran my own EMT (electric metallic tubing) back to the panel in the garage and pulled 10/2 wire through the tubing. I then had to add 30 amp breakers to handle the load that the heaters are using.
Before i did this the breakers would trip and shut down the heaters.

What’s the benefit of these over regular space heaters? I confess my feet get cold in my garage when I’m lifting and it’s distracting.
I do not know if there is a benefit over regular space heaters. I know that the radiant heaters are a little bigger than a small space heater. One advantage that I have is the two ceiling fans that I have in my gym. I have them set to bring the heat down from the ceiling and move it around the gym and that helps the heat flow.
After a while it does get pretty toasty in the gym and you end up shedding clothing. I have never had a problem with my feet getting cold, just my hands when I have to grab a hold of a cold bar when I first start my workouts.
