Haha thanks.

And yeah, seems like as soon as somebody is challanged they always run away instead of admitting their wrong.

haha! love it.

First don’t come to a bodybuilding site asking how to look like a marathon runner.

But, if you want sexy man abs then just add weighted ab work to every workout.

To get the defined male model abs buy the video AJ abs.

Or but a karma sutra vid and try out positions with your old lady, I quite having to do ab work all together cuz of some of the positions.

You all give him a break. He has the Zeppelin symbols tattooed on his back.

You’ve got a good start at least, keep it up. I’d be more concerned about adding beef to your frame rather than losing fat at this point. If you add some quality muscle to your back and legs then I doubt you’ll be worried about being chubby. You’re not chubby anyway.

I’m curious; Why did you join a gym that didn’t have barbells? Free weights do more for you than anything else and machines (by definition) do most of the work for you. Save your money and get a good olympic bar and plates and work out in your garage. Spend the next 2 years doing deadlifts, 3 times a week. When you get bored with deadlifts, do snatch-grip deadlifts. If you need more variety, look into kettlebells. Strive to make your workouts intense, and eat a lot of protein and wholesome, nutritious food. Drink a lot of water. Worry about getting strong and your physique will take care of itself. When you can deadlift 3x your bodyweight then start worrying about fine-tuning. Good luck.

it’s too bad, because if he actually wanted to look like that guy, he probably could in a couple years. decent frame for a beginner.

How many more fool kids (and their likely underage GFs) will we entertain? OP, try menshealth or even crossfit for your goals.

I believe one of the authors who wrote an article on carb cycling (not Thibaudeau) added fuel to this raging fire when he suggested that we should strive to be lean, athletic and cut rather than become huge (as though getting huge went hand in hand with being overfat)
and of course, above 15% body fat has become the ‘new’ classification of obese lately. Why don;t we take the high road and say anyone below 5’11" is considered a midget? Everything is relative after all, right? Sweeping labels seem to be more effective at creating a ruckus after all.

All I can add:Too bad, Dante and the late trevor smith never got around to writing for this place.

Whateva…I’m out.

i take the high road by making fun of anyone whos 10 or 20 lbs smaller than me and im 6’0 194

all that “girls like skinny guys” stuff is bullshit. girls like guys with cute faces, thats true, so if you have that you dont have to be huge to get laid. but for everyone who doesnt look like they could be in a boy band girls definately like big guys. the thing is no one gets big anymore. im not talking about professional bodybuilding status either, but theres like no one in the low 200’s even of people that lift. you know what, keep staying rediculously skinny and thinking its good so that when i show up you look exactly like what you are, a skinny fuck, and you make me look 10x bigger and 10x better.[/quote]

dude you only bench 205 8 times, take your own advise

I agree with quite a few members about the fact that you should put on more lean mass before really cutting down dude. Years ago I was insane about getting cut down too, and now I laugh at those OLD pics where I was just “skinny-fat” and watching my muscles eat themselves silly. Ive spent the past year keeping that fine line between being able to gain some lean mass and lean out, without wasting away…and let me tell you its VERY hard and a very fine line indeed. I wish now that I spent all those years just bulking up and then leaning down right now, but I wont waste time thinking on old stuff.

I was overweight last year and managed to drop a good 45 pounds before I started to get at least some kind of “pysique” at the moment, but still spend most of fall/winter just eating ALOT more and worry about getting alittle leaner for the summer beach months.

Dont sweat getting leaner just yet dude, fight that off and just get some more weight mass on and EAT clean dammit!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey guys, I don’t post much but been a member a while reading what I can and figured I’d ask for some advice.

57 grams F = 513C
= 1657 Calories
= 55%P/14%C/31%F

Workout:

Monday: Chest/tris (superset with 30 sec rest: dips/db presses/etc with close grip tri db presses/cables for tris/skulls/etc in the 8-12 rep range)

Tue: HIIT treadmill, abs

Wed: Back/Bi (superset with 30 sec rest: chins/lat pulldown/rows/etc with typical bicep db exercises in 8-12 rep range)

Thur: 6mph treadmill jog, abs

Fri: Legs/shoulders (leg presses and machine squat…started at new gym recently and doesn’t have a barbbell so have to make do with machines) Db shoulder presses, etc.

Sat: jog and HIIT mixed together, abs

Sun: Rest.

Often do random days of fitness testing and other things to shock the body like recently doing 100 dips/100 chins/100 various crunches in 10x10.

After taking a picture I realize my back isn’t very developed and not sure why. I perform typical back exercises quite hard…

think your doing way to much cardio and you def dont need to cut you just need to lift big and eat everything in site just stick to the basics and fook every thing else for the mo squats dead lifts and bench maybe some millatery press. you just need more muscle before you even think about cutting

I noticed the “shrinking effect” of the camera too. I though I looked more muscular in the mirror until I took a picture, haha. I guess I’ll wait another year before posting here on RMP.

As an advice, work your latissimus dorsi, they’re not developped. Try weighted chin ups 46 or 64 (palms facing you).
