I am still working on the mind to muscle connection. I have read that learning to pose is a great way to help with that connection. Got a favorite how to posing video you could share?
Lee Labrada has a pretty good series on YouTube:
The best thing you can do is just practice a lot. Your first sessions will feel and look awkward, but if you practice regularly you will improve, and being skilled at posing is a game changer for a solid MMC. Just keep practicing. When in a prep I would do a few rounds of quarter turns every morning, and in the evenings before dinner practice all the mandatories a few times.
I remember an old series from Bob Chicerello that went through all the relaxed and mandatories, and even had a few magazines that illustrated the key points to remember with each one, BUT what I truly found the most helpful was watching videos online of contest prejudings and comparing how different competitors hit different shots.
Eventually I zeroed in on athletes with similar structures (strengths and weaknesses) to mine and would spend plenty of time in front of a full length mirror assessing what worked best for me.

Thank you Rob that was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks you Stu for the tips.
