Long term diet tips

Thank you, could you also please check my diet, which I shared below and add your ideas how could I get to it?

Protein shakes can definitely make it a lot easier. A quick idea is to build around ā€œprotein-onlyā€ foods then you can add/ subtract fat and carbs to hit your total macros. An idea could be:

  • Post-training: 50g Metabolic Drive and fruit
  • Breakfast: 1.5 Cups of egg whites, a couple eggs and oatmeal
  • Lunch: 8oz. grilled chicken breast on a salad with dressing
  • Snack: 2 scoops Metabolic Drive (I’d probably take my daily fish oil here)
  • Dinner: 10 oz. Mahi Mahi, vegetables, and a little rice (this is tomorrow’s pre workout meal)

Anyone ever mention good old-fashioned DISCIPLINE??

This is a tough muscle to train, but it’s undoubtedly the best muscle to use.

Never hear it when talking about diet anymore… It sucks. Suck it up. How badly do you want results??

Eat more meat each meal? Greek yogurt? Idk, you’re asking the wrong guy. I don’t even use protein powders and have no trouble hitting 250g pro during cutting phases. I eat 1lb of meat everyday and a tub of Greek yogurt which automatically gets me to ~190g pro without barely trying.

12% body fat is very doable and in my experience doesn’t require any extreme or highly specialized dieting. It sounds like you have a general understanding of macros and calories. I would say nothing has worked better for me, in any goal, than old fashioned will power.

A couple of ā€œtricksā€ that work for me are:

  1. Dropping 5 lbs at a time. I aim for a caloric cut that should get me five pounds lighter and structure macro intake inside of it. I’ve found this doesn’t create a huge energy drop or even require all that much of a change at all, so it’s easy. It also doesn’t cannibalize much muscle. Sometimes I start on the next five right away, sometimes I level out for a few weeks and then keep going.

  2. I take a weekly approach. I try to be as consistent as possible day to day, but if I blow my calories one day I can either give myself a hard payback day or spread the wealth over the week with slightly more drastic than planned daily cuts. It’s a mental approach that works for me.
