What is the longest layoff you have ever had from training via an injury, illness or just lifestyle and how long was it before you saw a serious loss in strength, mass or conditioning? How long did it take to get back what you lost?

Year and half in my 20’s.
I don’t know how fast the strength and conditioning was lost because, being that I was hardly doing anything fitness-wise, I couldn’t tell. But the loss of mass and FEELING of being weaker and less condition came about 3 months into the layoff. The feeling of being drowsy and lethargic came about three weeks in.
I think it took five or six months to regain everything.
It was horrible!
8 months about 4 years ago due to a torn rotator cuff. When I got back to it it only took about 4 weeks to get back to where I was before the injury, but at the point of injury I was only lifting about a year and a half.
The decline was gradual, but it sneaks up quick, if you know what I mean.
