Trying to get a long island T-cell started. Considering I live in one of the the most denesly populated areas in the country, I am sure I am not the only T-Man in the area.
So, anyone here from long island area?
yes sir
bump
I don’t post often (well, hardly ever), but I’d definitely be interested. I live in the area.
yup
bro’s we should somehow get together and compare routines diets and chicks.
Any of you guys know of a decent gym to learn/do Oly lifts around here?
I’m not permitted to “throw” weights at my gym…but I do anyway, and I’m afraid that I might get banned from the place real soon if I try cleans and snatches! Of course, the gym is located at my job, so I don’t want my boss finding out I’m a loud, dangerous prick at the gym.
I’m out near Riverhead, so anything within 30 minutes is “do-able.”
Thanx, bros!

I don’t know how far Riverhead is from Queens, but Lost Battalion Hall (in Rego Park) is THE place for Olylifting.
Iron Island in Oceanside might have bumpers, not sure.
Thanx, bangs…
Riverhead is the last exit on the LIE, right before the island splits into the north and south forks. In other words, Queens is a major hike for me.
I do have family out there, in Kew Gardens, so I’ll see if I can take a peek one day.

Any LI know a place where allows personal trainers that allow them to train clients? In Manhassat area?
In Health,
Silas C.
Little Jay,
If you make it down that way, contact Artie Dreschler (or call ahead), he’s a 1st rate coach for Team Invictus. It’s run by NYC parks & rec., so you have to contend with the ping pong tables next to the platforms.
Bangs…is Artie at LB Hall or Iron Island?
Thanks again, bro!
And FitOne, I don’t know of any gyms off-hand that permit non-affiliated trainers to operate on their turf, but if you can convince them that you can bring in some business, then some of the non-franchise gyms might permit you to train folks there. Good luck!
LittleJay:
Thanks.
