Back hair is allowed…however, for some strange reason, the women want us to shave the Nether Regions.

We want you guys to shave our nether regions you mean?

Actually, you don’t need to shave yours. Just keep it trimmed is all we really ask.
For that matter, why does anyone try to learn from those forums at all, when you have honest to God experts who write actual articles for T-Nation? Would you choose to listen to Professor X or John Berardi?
Both. Thats at least the reason I come here. To read both professional and personal accounts of what works and what doesn’t.

All this nonsense about spending money here deserves people the right to post in the T-Cell because your paying for it… silly. I am not a member of the T-Cell, but have spent a large amount of money here. Should I care? Not really. I’m a beginner still and have a lot to learn before I can add anything to that forum. Your argument is like asking the grocery store you use to start an online forum…hey, your entitled. You bought products there.

Should you have been kicked out? Don’t really care. From what I’ve read you wanted out. So now your out. Put it to bed

This has been brought up before. There can be a convincing argument made why it dosen’t matter what the person looks like, the advice can still be sound (some of the older S & C coaches, or a guy like Alwyn Cosgrove who has battled with cancer). But the reality is that in spite of a convincing argument, it would still help to see who really trains.

The whole premise of the T-Cell forum is to give people who are serious about bodybuilding style training to have peace from trolls. The execution is flawed. A better method would have simply been to ban the offending members from posting in the bodybuilding forum.

Who in the fuck do you think you are, 781? She’s been here 5 fucking years longer than your worthless, suburban, mama’s boy ass.

Christine doesn’t need to explain dick to you.

What in the fuck have you done in your few months here to deserve to be in the T-Cell?

God I hate fucking punk-assed little bitches.

EDIT

Whew! You’re not a member. I am glad to know that the T-Cell does have some standards after all.

word. lets wait for all the bullshit reasons why it wont happen…
Most of the older folks have pics either in their profile, or elsewhere here on T-Nation.

Dude, I have been pushing for this when it comes to ANYONE giving advice on the forums.

Uh… HH, correct me if I’m wrong on this but…

Biotest sells you supplements.
You pay for the supplements.

After you pay for the supplements, the contract is settled. Nothing else is promised in the contractual agreement between you and Biotest.

Biotest then takes a portion of their retained earnings and runs a marketing campaign to get their name out there. This marketing campaign includes the creation of a web 2.0 bulletin board where people can talk about all the accessories related to consuming Biotest products (including training and sometimes even competitors products) and even hires authors to write articles related to these same subjects, all to encourage their exposure to their market.

Now, what part of that marketing campaign did you pay for? Because it seems to me Biotest paid for it, and Biotest can do whatever they want with it.
Damn. As in “This was a DAMN good post”.

It may be easier to implement in the cell. Like a thread where each new member added to the t-cell has to post a pic.

If pictures become a requirement for members of the T-Cell, then you can kick me out as soon as it is implemented.

Dude, no one is kicking you out. I know I personally am not “tribunaling” anyone out for anything unless they truly act like ass-hats. I just think that in many cases, if someone is giving advice about bodybuilding, their picture should be up somewhere.

I feel this applies most to people regurgitating what they have read from this or that author when they weigh all of 135lbs themselves.

Sorry, I think my post came across a little more petulantly than I intended it to. I’m not worried about being kicked out at all… in the original thread where we “voted” on this issue, I specifically said that I did not expect to be admitted into such an exclusive forum. I work out, but I am in no way qualified to give anyone else advice regarding diet or lifting. I’ll post my experiences when they are asked for (such as the V-Diet thread).

I have seen a couple of posts that seem to imply that all T-Cell Alpha members should have to have pictures to maintain their memberships. Perhaps I misread. I have no problem with such a system, actually. I would just cheerfully choose not to participate.

Yes, I definitely agree with this. If you are going to give advice, you should be able to either demonstrate your own authority, or you should explicitly state that your argument is from another’s authority, and disclaim the advice as opinion.

Are there people here who dont work out? Why? Not that they should be banned, but why would they be here? If i didnt work out i’d be on some onther forum, probably something sexual…

Know what i mean? I am stunned. truly.

Yes, they are here…and yes, they are the major reason the Bodybuilding forum was going downhill fast.

Meanwhile, for some reason, the ones who want to keep a serious tone to this site are being called out like there was no need for that T-Cell. There obviously was a need and the T-Cell has obviously helped this issue.

With so many of the authors against bodybuilding, what did you expect?

The T-Cell is NOT some high school clique. It is simply a bunch of people getting fed up with being told that big muscles were stupid, icky and unwanted.
Well there seemed to be some debate over what the T-Cell was for, and who should have been in it.
I was reading alot that it was supposed to be for a base few vets etc… which is fine, but i began to think i wasnt really rightful in being able to post there… especially as it was good old Gerdy who invited me, and not a vet.
But, if it is a place for serious bodybuilders to be bodybuilders and do and say bodybuilder things(!) - things that we are interested in without having to justify why… then i would like to continue to be a part of that… y’know?

JJ

There is only “debate” about what it is for because everyone who didn’t say shit about the troubles in the bodybuilding forum is now trying to throw in an opinion since the T-Cell was created. NONE of those people had shit to say about threads entitled, “I don’t wanna be big” or entire threads about combat pyramids and how bodybuilders aren’t legit unless they can “do a three on a pyramid” (whatever that means).

Everyone was silent while trolls and people who rarely lift filled the bodybuilding forums.

Now, they all have something to say.

When you think about it, it’s funny. The T-Cell is getting hits on threads like the Political forum has never seen…yet everyone is talking about how it “fails”.

The T-Cell is what we make it. If we allow one or two trolls to tear it apart, then we obviously weren’t mature enough to handle it.

You rant on and on about trolls, yet spent upwards of 300 posts going on and on about Tiki Barber being ‘articulate’ or ‘eloquent’; how its a racial smear to call a black person ‘articulate’. On that and numerous other occasions you carried on for endless posts because you thought someone’s choice of some random word was a racist assualt. Remember the endless posts about how white people never spoke about looters in white areas after Hurricane Andrew, but the evil racists mention it after Katrina? On and on and on.

Now if someone says something in the BB thread, “Oh, they’re a troll! We should have a vote!”

You are a fucking paranoid hypocrital ass.

Now, I will ignore YOUR posts, shitbag.

you nearly called him a “dickbag” didnt you? but then you held back, because you know that i am the only dickbag of these forums.

you made a wise move HH.
LOL! You’ve made some great ones today. Good funny stuff.

D

Back in our day (you know who you are) the T-Cell was referred to when a bunch of T-Nation members got together in real life to work out and share knowledge face-to-face.

I remember there being a few of those in Ohio, New York, the Carolinas and California I think…

Speaking of which, I’d like to make one for the NY/NJ area soon.

i vote we call it the “bag of dicks”, now that would be cool.
