Pulls felt like shit today"
Dang dude, they may have felt like shit but it did not look like it on the vids. Those flew from the floor!
It was really just the heavy pulls from the floor that felt like shit. My next deadlift session (495x8) felt even worse so I will skip deadlifts next week and will just do a “back” workout and some sandbag stuff.
I was sick on Tuesday so I didn’t train.
The best shit ever:
12 oz Whole Milk (hot)
2 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
1 tsp Cinnamon
8 oz Coffee
1 Sweet 'n Low Packet

Was this a snack or a pre/post workout shake? May still this to get my lethargic butt going in the mornings!
This was after lunch and it kicked an unprecedented amount of ass.

This was after a 1 week hunting trip which involved not eating, sleeping in my truck at night and spot and stalk hunting 12 hours a day, after which my car broke down so I got to do a lot of walking and more sleeping in my truck. When I eventually got home I was really tired and had gotten super sick. I thought I would be weak but, surprisingly, I was pretty strong. My last set of bench was 360lbs at lock out. Due to having to fix my truck I don’t have the funds to compete in January. I’m going to start an off season cycle now and compete when my finances are better under control.

Thanks man
I wound up doing 635x5 on accident because I miscounted the weights haha
Forget this comment happened
Awesome job on the 635 pulls! Hate to hear about your truck. I can’t tell you how many times when my wife and I plan to do something fun our cars bust or house falls apart that drains any fun money we have saved up. Loving the setup you laid out in my log a few weeks ago that you use with your teen lifters. For the moment I’ve been applying CT’s Double Progression Method (5x5) with it for a while and will switch back to 5/3/1 at some point.
Nice work In here. One of my favorite logs. Heavy weights plus vids !

Thanks man. I’m actually working on writing an ebook about it and making a spreadsheet for it because the weight calculations, etc… can get kind of complicated and tedious. It doesn’t have to be that way but it can be for lifters who don’t know how to listen to their bodies. It’s a long story; anyway, yea it sucks when life stops you from doing anything fun but that’s just how it goes. I picked out a meet in April so I’ll start training for that now.

I’ve gotten a little lazy with the videos lately. I’ll have to start taking as many as I used to. I’m trying to get the weights even heavier but it’s slow progress!
I was crunched for time, needed to do some conditioning work and have been reading Alpha’s log too much recently so I did this:
Overhead Press…ss…Pull Ups…ss…Heavy Bag
45x10-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
135x5-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
185x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
205x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
225x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
245x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
225x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
205x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
185x2-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
135x5-BWx2-10 Full power round kicks
The only rest between sets was as long as it took to change the weights. This doesn’t look that bad but it was pretty grueling.
