I BELIEVE the title of the thread was ‘PROF X: What do YOU eat?’
A) A point being overlooked by the veggie fame, is that many of the studies for fruits and vegatables are comparing people that are eating highly processed foods daily. Loading up on junk has shown to require a particular vitamin to counteract the effects. Kind of like overdoing cardio to make up for a bad diet when losing weight. You may not need the cardio if you ate better. You may not need vegatables as much if you didn’t down a pound of Salami.
B) I don’t like Vegatables and Fruits being lumped together yes they both come from the ground, but the sugar content creates a difference. Not saying one is healthier than theother but when trying to lose weight fast a pound of coconut will have a different effect than a pound of spinach.
C) Bodybuilding. 2 groups of people seem to participate. The ones who sacrifice their body for it, and the ones who worship it like a temple and feel being physically overbearing as much as aesthetically pleasing inside and out. The former often turns into the latter when they retire but is it too late?
d) I still believe all things being equal if one twin eats an appreciable amount of vegatables and the other doesn’t eat any. Mr. Vegatable will live longer with less overall inflammation.

Yes, but that’s because a pound of coconut will have a couple more calories than a pound of spinach.
I’ve been having a kiwi every day as part of lunch. Those things kick ass.
If a person is worried about carbohydrates from fruit there is something wrong with their head. Unless of course they are eating massive amounts of fruit, in which case, there is something else wrong with their head.
If you’re worried about eating fruit , when some of them are some of the best things you can put in your body, somewhere along the line your thinking got messed up.
Even for fat loss. A compound of Raspberries have been proven to help fat loss.
Just look at everybody’s favorite fat loss supplement:
Two of the compounds you’re undoubtedly familiar with: Carbolin 19 and yohimbine HCl. The third is a component of raspberry that has been shown to uniquely stimulate lipolysis in both white and brown adipose tissue (and makes the HOT-ROX capsules smell pretty good, too).[/quote]
I love berries, citrus fruits, and pineapple. I wouldn’t give them up for the world.
I eat a can of pineapple with breakfast every day. Tastes great, has enzymes in it that supposedly help joints, and gives me a nice tasty kick start for the day.
