So how 'bout them Lions? It’s weird, they say that this reflects Detroit as a whole.
hahah. It’s true. the big 3 auto companies start having problems and the team goes down the shitter.
the team went down the shitter LONG before the auto companies started having those problems
Well, I live in Michigan, but am currently visiting my Packer bretheren in Wisconsin.
So… fuck those Lions! While I don’t think it would’ve mattered too much, I can’t believe Kevin Smith lost his compsure like that late in the 4th on a key drive.
lets sell detroit to canada.
hahahaha… Jim Rome is going to have a FIELD DAY with this. It could end up on his “happiest days in his life” list. He’s been talking about it for a couple weeks.

Jim Rome is one of the biggest tools on television. He is an embarassment to sports commentary. There is a reason he’s on at 4 or whatever, when no one is home. He’s got to be under contract and that is the only way ESPN can prevent him from polluting their network any further.
Whomever is forcing you to watch that fool should be punished.

Ummm…Romes also does a three hour radio program every weekday if you aren’t aware. And while he is a royal douche, he does get damn good interviews. As much as I dislike his attitude/demeanor at times, he has done alot to change the face of sports talk radio.

He sucks. He makes up facts, just so he can criticize them, on a regular basis. That’s what I dislike most about him. Not even his douchy behavior, it’s his affinity for creating drama solely for the sake of perpetuating it.

Like what? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just genuinely curious what facts you feel he “makes up”?
Clearly he has someone write most of the show for him (like Letterman or Leno, etc) but I’m not sure exactly what you are saying…
Detroit sucked long before the Lions lost every game. I doubt Canada wants Michigan, just like South Korea doesn’t want to have to absorb North Korea.

ha…fuck that…were not interested
I find Jim Rome hilarious. Listening to him go off on a certain subject is funny.
I was freaking out the whole game. I was sure my Packers were gonna go ahead and give up a win to the worst team ever. The Pack hasnt exactly been “good” lately.
Sorry to Lions fans out there though, I’m pissed that GB could only muster 6 wins. At least it can’t be any worse next year!

Now you’ve done it.
Fuck the Lions. I was worried that they would screw up their only chance at accomplishing anything this year and beat the fucking Packers. Good thing they folded like an old newspaper and sealed their fate.
If only William Clay Ford would die. Then someone who knows what they are doing could take over the team. Kind of reminds me of the long drought that the Blackhawks went through with Dollar Bill Wertz.

They probably do not want Detroit - hell Michigan does not want Detroit. However, the rest of the state is pretty fuckin sweet.
As a lions fan i’m actually kinda glad it happened, because it just makes me a little bit more helpful that they’ll blow up everything (coaching, front office, almost every player except calvin johnson and other standouts). But more than likely it’ll stay the same as it always has. Ah well, what are you gonna do. I just gotta watch more red wings and then hope the pistons and tigers can turn it around, at least they seem to have a chance to.

Michigan ain’t bad - the east side of the state is either like detroit, all run down and such, or it’s so suburban that it’s boring as hell. I live in Grand Rapids on the west side and it’s a nice city for those who don’t want to live in a huge city like chicago but want some big-city type things.
Of course if you’re into wilderness stuff then Michigan rocks.

Where do you live in GR? I grew up on the North end of GR - just south of Sparta. Had a townhouse next to the Amoco in Easttown while I was at GVSU. Lived in Holland for about three years after that. Those were good times. Spent 6 months in Detroit and it totally sucked. Wish I could get those six months of my life back.
On a brighter note, I see that Marinelli has been fired. If only they would clean out the front office next.
