Lil Power's Training Log

I am thinking good thoughts for your shoulder. Injuries suck so much, but they appear to be a fact of our lives.

Incredibly strong work in here as always. I loved your PL seminar videos!

MIM, Veggie, Kimba - Thanks for the thoughts, Dr said probably tendonitis…Veggie, I haven’t had good luck w/chiro, each time I went the next day something else hurt…I do love myofascial work though.

Right shoulder’s been giving me issues, so playing around with upper days to not aggravate any more than necessary. Dr took XRays, just because I’ve separated it before…but since ROM is good just painful, she’s thinking tendonitis, and gave me Lidoderm patches/horse pill size Motrin and ordered some PT sessions.

do you feel the triceps pretty good from the kickbacks? I have a wonky elbow and few things I can do tricep wise that don’t hurt. (kickbacks included)

people can make fun of both of us

Mim, I feel the tri’s on high reps, also for hypertrophy …and to do something for them (need them for that big bench…lol ) but also needed something I could keep my shoulder out of the picture.

Yep, I get a ration of crap from my PL buddies when I do these.

Hey Power, how ya feeling? A few days without your awesome-ness is a few days too long =D

agreed!

Thanks for missing me, Brute was right-business trip forced me to try a Bally’s…luckily Mondays are universally bench day so the lone squat rack was all mine. Though I didn’t bring my belt or chucks, so did light 5x5 in stocking feet.
Nothing spectacular, though I did hear the word powerlifter a couple of times. And yes, I was the only female in the free weight area.

Other than that, I feel my motivation is going down while weight is going up…I need to shake this crap fast before real damage is caused

Get your MOJO back! We need you here at PW to remind us of what greatness looks like!

Have you done the PT on your shoulder? Is it healing up? Certainly hope all is well-- or at least getting there.

Wish I coulda seen that, spectacular humiliation for all present

man - feel better soon, and I totally would have loved to spy that moment of awesomeness.

Working w/PT, she feels shoulder is most likely a labrum tear, not just tendonitis. Getting the referral for the MRI, hoping to schedule by next week before we move back to Knoxville, TN in 2 1/2 weeks. Will have to get “new” dr once there, so that’ll add some time to the whole process most likely.

Still training some, but in a funk. I’m such a planner and not knowing when my next meet will be is driving me batty. Need to think of another short term goal so I don’t lose too much. Any suggestions?

I am so sorry to hear about the shoulder still being an issue :(…i feel lost when i can’t lift as well :frowning:
I will try and send some hurry up and heal vibes to you, while i think of some suggestions :{

what are to able to do? or not restricion wise?

oh man!!

Best wishes for you…

When I get a moment, I’m going to PM you. I’ve been there. I know exactly how you’re feeling. But I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that it’s not a tear. And make sure to get an arthrographic MRI. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT in determining what’s actually wrong.

I’m so sorry for your funk and I am like the queen of tiny weird goals. As Brute said, what are your restrictions? Let’s see. We have to avoid the shoulder. There’s sprinting, pistols, lunges (60 bw is nice)…

Regarding a possible meet, I do not remember where you are located, but the SPF is having a meet in Rogers Arkansas on July 30th.

Heres to hoping for a speedy recovery for the shoulder
