So you stop your heavy squats three weeks out, eh? I go heavy a little longer than that. I will stop my heavy DLs pretty soon. I think. I actually worry about losing strength if I cut loose too soon. Plus, I can be a pretty wired person and don’t do well laying low for long.
Do share what numbers you’ll be attempting. We can all ooh and aah in amazement.

Snap, since training under new coach, it’s a little different, so I keep telling myself to trust the plan. Actually it’ll be more like 2 weeks out. Sat will be the first time I actually touch to chest in the shirt, not really nervous but kinda anxious to see how it goes.
Then I’ll rethink my openers at least a dozen times before the actually meet…I think/analyze way too much.

Very impressive lifts. I haven’t had time to read your whole log but trying to catch up. How do you like lifting in gear versus raw? You were raw previously right? Good luck in your meet, what organization are you competing in?

Germanone - I’ve been in gear about 2-3 months and to tell you the truth I think I got lucky and my squat suit fits really well. The first shirt I bought was too small in the chestplate, so moved up one size and bingo, geared lifting and I are getting along well.
As you know, I’m living in Alabama, leaving end of May (hurrah!). My daughter, who is 13 (8th grade) told me the other day that a 9th grade boy came over to her and asked if her mom was a bodybuilder. She said no, she a powerlifter, why. “She’s scary”…she looked at him and said, what, that’s my mom you’re talking about. He said “any girl that can lift more than me is odd”.
Glad I’m raising a strong girl, physically, mentally, and emotionally !
But still makes me wonder…
