yeah, i thought of you the other day! hope it went well!
Sorry I’ve been MIA recently…
Hadn’t had real good training leading up to the meet and didn’t want to relive it by posting.
My hubby and I flew out to San Fran on Friday, I was cutting water weight trying to get a good coefficient for the meet.
Weighed in at 153, so I was happy with that and then we went to Reno to lose some $
Sunday was the Women’s Pro meet, there were 9 women in the raw lightweight division, most were weighing in at 132 or less.
Meet was in kilos so I put the weights in approximate lbs
Squat
Opener-308 good
2nd- 330 good but it was grinder
3rd- 350 no good, got it out of the hole but really got stuck about 3" up and had the spttoers take it
Bench
Opener- 181 - agh I beat the press call, first time I’ve ever done that!
2nd- 198 good
3rd- 203 good
Dl
Opener-320 good
2nd- 347 good
3rd- 369 no good, I was trying to get a 900 total so I probably jumped too much on this one
Overall total 882, not my best but still hit elite totals for 165 class weighing about 10 lbs less than my last meet.
Amy Weisberger won @147 t/l of 959
Julie Diss was 2nd @131 t/l of 803
And I came in 3rd, but it was pretty cool lifting 8th in the flights right before Amy Weisberger, a female icon in powerlifting!
Now I have a head cold, probably from the airplane flights…so a few days of recovery and then I start training in single ply!
Damn, great work girlie! 3rd place is really awesome. If Julie wasn’t so damn small, you would’ve grabbed 2nd lol
I kid, of course.

bobbi, here’s a link to Julie’s lifts at this meet, she is such a puller! Watching her 3rd DL and she earned every bit of her “fame” she is going to go far! I’m so short everyone is tall to me, but I’d guess she’s 5’ 3" to 5’ 5" ish???

feeling good enough to get back in the gym last night, even if it was only to strengthen the heart muscle (that’s for you Bobbi). I signed up to do a 5K on dec 4 with my hubby. Hadn’t done cardio for a few weeks due to the PL meet, so was quite happy I could still hop on a treadmill (yuk) and do 2.5 miles!

look at those rack holds! my puney hands can barely lift 315 let alone hold it for 10 seconds. I’m going to keep that in mind and add holds.

Rack holds are amazing, and those speed pulls are ridic. I always say it, but you’re an inspiration!

just to clear up the Rack pick/holds…it’s to overload my top in the squat…
pick/holding 435# is my pr on this…working up to being able to squat 450# and not have my head try to tell me it’s too heavy…
