What I don’t understand is why someone would be so angry at a complete stranger just for squatting to parallel, lol. Like, what?

Just my uninformed take. Some people take offense at someone living their dream, taking on challenges, being honest. They see their shadow in your mirror and it triggers them. Their ego requires them to trash you so they don’t feel threatened.

A little out there, but I have seen it in myself.

Yes, I have encountered that a lot, unfortunately.

I know my youtube stats are 91% male viewers and they pretty great for the most part (some are a little off, lol, but that’s to be expected).

Then there are the guys out there that are super angry with women and call every nice guy a simp. When those guys find my channel it’s game over. They are extremely cruel and hold nothing back. They hate me for just being a woman and they hate that guys are nice to me in the comments.

I block them, but it still causes me anxiety. People might not realize how bad it can be sometimes. But it really is

It’s just life on the internet. I don’t want it to scare me off, though.

As an uninteresting update -

This person is continuing to harass me through my business email. I can’t block seem to block them through there.

I delete them without reading them, but it seems they are continuing to troll my youtube comments with different accounts as well as email me.

This is batshit crazy, y’all. I’ve never in my life experienced something like this. Aside from like Jr high bullying…

Yup. People will become obsessive over some sort of perceived slight and make you the target of their obsession. There are a LOT of unhinged people out there.

You’re doing the best possible thing you can do by not responding. Which sucks, for sure, but responding is only going to give them more ammunition.

Squats looked pretty good to me, nice brace, good depth and well controlled. Not ATG but then not everyone can do that (I personally don’t). I remember reading something on an article I think a T nation one saying ATG squatters are physio’s favourite customers :slight_smile:

I also read a quote from a guy who I think was an American Football coach basically saying don’t worry about peoples opinions who you wouldn’t go to for advice. It’s a mantra I tend to live by, easier said then done I know.

As an aside this post made me think of the front foot elevated SSB hatfield squats I was doing this very morning which I took from your log. Never pleasant but very effective

Great workout. I was worried I’d be stalling in my ohp soon because the last reps of each set last week moved slow, but it felt fine this week.

Second time around doing 100lbs. It moved faster than before, so I feel confident I can add weight the next time I do a single.
