Glad the shoulder is doing better. There is nothing wrong with getting in, getting it done, and then leaving.

Facepulls have really helped my shoulders as well. Good on ya for finding what works and sticking with it. That’s a tough thing for me.
Hey man dont do that again, we get worried around here! ![]()
Has Jennifer tried sumo? I’m pulling modified sumo to save my back and having some success with it. There’s a recent video on my log showing me pulling.
Thanks all.
Matty, I promise not to be gone so long again…especially without a heads up.
James, you are spot on. And I love the burn. It is addictive…like PRs.
Bulldog, “it” is correct…lol. BTW - -tear it up at the meet!
Dday, I hope it helps. It the issue really is my bicep tendon, though, not sure it will last. It is worth a shot, again, though.
Snap, I will refer her to the video. That may very well be a better option for her. Gotta get it to stop hurting first, though.
OG, thanks for sending out the search party.
Just saying Hi.
“HI”

Lol…Hello, Mr. Brett.
Hi, Mr & Mrs Strick. I was wondering where you were.
Glad to see you back in the house.
Thanks Joe, Cav. We are still around. Hoping to have a quick burn down session this afternoon.
Finally getting cooler here! 38 this morning. Ah…this is God’s weather. Well, okay, it’s all God’s weather. I just happen to prefer this aspect of it.

It’s that time of year. Had to turn the fire place on this morning, it was 33 when I woke up. Seems like it wasn’t that long ago we were talking about how hot it was, soon I’ll be complaining about how cold it is.

Cold weather is something I have never complained about. I love it cold. And I love fires (fireplace or campfire, not like arson)…lol.
I like cool, above freezing. Problem around here is ice, snow and -10 those things I don’t like. I’m sure you all get about the same. The older I get the less I like it, mostly the snow and ice.

I don’t much care for ice, which is what we usually get. The snow, though…I turn into a kid again. Unfortunately, I usually still have to go to work. Being a grown up can suck.
We don’t get quite as cold as you do. I think we dipped below zero once, last year. The kicker here is the wind. When it is in the teens, or singles digits, and you have a sustained wind of 10-15 with gusts to 20-25, it starts to cut.
Best snow I ever remember was in, I think, '96. I was in upstate New York, with my brother (he was in Navy nuke school), in my only excursion into yankee territory…to that point. They had already had at least a foot of snow. We decided to go walking around that night (in Ballston Spa…small town). It was about 10:00 PM. There was absolutely no wind (perfectly still) and huge snowflakes were falling. Not heavy, but steady. They drifted down like leaves in the Fall. Absolutely beautiful! And the town was small enough that it had pretty much shut down. Quiet, still, dark, except for these huge snowflakes drifting down in the light from the streetlights, riding on the scent of wood smoke.
Had I not been in enemy territory, I would have though I had stepped into a part of Heaven…lol.
I used to love watching snowfall as a kid, but now that I have to clean off the car, I’m getting a really bad reaction to it.

Poetically written, Strick. Welcome back, and my regards to Mrs. S.
(p.s. Have you checked to see whether Mrs. S has a tight piriformis? -I was starting to have back issues (SI joint area) and finally figured out that that was my root cause.)

Same with me and rain …
Mutant!
Trivia note: all the apartments I had in Texas always came with a fireplace . . . but not a single one in Pittsburgh has one. Go figure.
