Just put it in a high pony tail. Maybe bring a scrunchie to the gym. You’ll look fabulous and keep the hair out of the way for squats.

True enough but he’ll end up with a weird bobble at the back of his head that’ll screw with his bench.

Well, everyone knows you have to do your hair differently for bench day.
this got me laughing hysterically

So tie it back. What’s the big deal?

This is a misconception.
Dirty dreads smell, much like most other dirty things.

Ok, then they DO smell.

Crew cut beats the rest, hands down. Except maybe the dreds. You just wake up and go, hair care is simple, and it never gets in your way.

And you look like a man.
Damn !!! I haven’t heard that kind of bigotry in a long time.
You remind me of when I was a teenager and was asked to leave the church my friend invited me to because I had long hair. People used to say to me “Why you got the long hair boy? You queer?” and I would reply “Why? You wanna suck my dick?”
I had long hair before I went into the military and I’ve kept my hair long since I got out. You learn to deal with it if you want to keep it. Long hair never stopped me from riding my bike, working in all types of conditions or environments, or being accepted by people that matter or being ostracized by those that don’t. I still get followed around by security in some stores.
When I lift I either ponytail it and pull it around front, or slide the band or scrunchie down near the bottom to bench.
Cut it or grow it but make your own choice. A man is not measured by his hair.

I have long hair and sometimes I pull it back but usually I don’t. It really doesn’t bother me at all.

I don’t think the word ‘bigotry’ means what you think it means…

Sampson.
Admittedly though, this goes against the rest of my argument.

haha

I had short hair for most of my life and it is so much easier than long hair.Short hair requires little if any attention such as washing which takes seconds. Long hair I think looks better atm but I may cut it when I lose a bit of weight. The main problem I have with long hair is it takes much longer to wash and twenty minutes to dry and alot of other bs like trying to do work on a desk it falls into my face and I cant see sometimes. Any sport is also a hassle because I cant see the ball when im running. If I didnt think it looked good Id cut it off now

Okay first of all. If you have dreadlocks and they stink you are a nasty mother fucker. I have had dreads for going on 13 years and they are kept quite clean.

I have never had bugs falling out of them and never had any complaints from the ladies. I wash them very often and they smell terrific. If you have very soft textured hair (caucasion, asian) it is very difficult to keep and maintain dreadlocks without a whole bunch of gook in them. Luckily I do not have that problem. The vast majority of people I know with dreads are very clean and don’t smell like a bag of ass.

what a dumb thread

Always a pony. Never a scrunchie - so 80’s (just ask Carrie Bradshaw)

silverblood,

Why not compromise and appease both sides? Perhaps a sweet looking Mullet would suffice; business in the front, party in the back.

A bigot is a person who, without thought, is intolerant of opinions, lifestyles or identities differing from his or her own, and bigotry is the corresponding attitude or mindset.
O.K. Sampson didn’t look like a man. So what looks like a man?
Petermus wrote:

If you are a man, shave your head; or at least cut it a lot shorter. A man should look like a man, not like a woman with no tits.

Bingo!

Buy a good electric after letting a barber buzz it down to skin. Put on some Lectric Shave and you’re good to go.

Of course, you can blade it but that has drawbacks.

BTW: grow a goatee, looks better overall.

I asked Carrie, but all she wanted to do was look shoes.

Bitch.

Goatees are for douchebags.

LAME.

I live in a place where dreads are fairly popular with the skinny white dudes.

I guess it is less permanent than tribal tattoos, but no less trendy.
