Lifting Weights = Warrior?

I either have to say there is nothing in any way special about being a warrior (combatant definition), or that everyone is a warrior. Combatants are presumably assuming risk and working hard to achieve a goal that they deem worthy.

Actually they do not technically deem it worthy. Congress deems it worthy and at a given time in the past they signed a contract that stated they are going entrust their right to decide who to kill to congress. That is a different issue and I think Ill make a thread on that so people can flame me for it there.

The more I read about the Samurai the more I think they were bullies rather than warriors, at least in their later years.[/quote]
Astute observation as usual from you, Zap…That trend (bullies) seems pretty consistent in societies where acess to personal defense arms are excessively restricted and/or only an “elite” group have a monopoly on armed force…

This got completely out of hand in later years when “proletarian budo” in the Imperial Army resulted in massacres of unarmed innocents, such as Nanking, Bataan, and Manila…and of course we all know what happened after those gun-contol laws were passed by the Ratzis’…

I think someone let a little too much of the macho crap in bootcamp infect their brain, especially since serving in the military doesn’t necessarily even mean combat…(driving a supplies truck makes you a warrior!)

You either have never served or know nothing of the US military. Every soldier is gun ready and prepared to be in a battle zone at any given time.

How do you think the trigger pullers get their bullets? The supply drivers drive through the war fields and bring it to them, dumbass.

I think enough supply drivers have died in convoys for them to be considered warriors.

The media as usual under reported the wounded Sgt. who won the silver star after singlehandely dispatching multiple ambushers of his truck column hit by an IED in Iraq a few years ago…Seems he knew his way around an M16 pretty well…

What about prisoner’s? They have to watch their backs everyday so they dont get jumped, stabbed etc. Gettin slashed in the face n all. They could be called warriors, cause they deal with life-threatening things everyday?
Either way, there’s a thing on youtube.com called Incarcerated Scarfaces, you guys should check it out, its a good watch.
