Brutality. Fucking deadlifts…killing me, I swear. I need to hit up a DL session at Thorbecke’s when some of the old guys are there, and help me out. I don’t ever setup the same way. I don’t MEAN to do shit differently, my mind wanders and I get fucked up. Just keep working on it. Last night I hadn’t eaten enough carbs throughout the day, and sleep has been less than I’d like, but i keep pushing forward.

I didn’t get one, but this is one that looks to be by the manufacturer. My friends’ wife bought them for him, and he’s had them in his bag for a couple weeks now. I had him break them out. I didn’t use the strap that comes with them, as putting them under your shirt works just as well, if not better, but they were pretty sweet to press off of. I missed the 315, but he hit a 420, bastard

Ok, hit up SOME of #37 W3D2 last night, but got a late start and took forever since I was experimenting with pulling sumo, and then the bench pyramid took forever, and I was worn out. Will finish the other half tonight. I promise.

*Fucking moron. In the confusion of switching to sumo, I was pulling my warmup sets sumo and then conv, few reps each, all the way to lockout with no pause. Then I continued this in my work sets until the last one, when I realized I should have at least paused them, if not pull to knees/hold/drop.

Overall, pretty happy with this having not pulled sumo in forever and using my conventional stance numbers. Will continue to try both stances until one clicks. Hopefully conventional clicks again, until at least after the meet, since that’s where I’m strongest. Or, that’s where I’ve been strongest in the past. Less than 6 weeks out isn’t the ideal time to switch something like that, but we’ll see.

HILARIOUS! Seriously. I’m fucking done dropping dime on PLing shit. If its not one thing its another!! And I just sprang for some in-person coaching - for pauses, cues, etc. FML.
Personally, I love being able to pull both conventional and sumo! But only because I think its nice to be a well-rounded lifter. And I was told by a reputable source that there’s not reason you can’t train both and excel at both (obviously for meets you’ll pick the one you’re better at or most comfortable with). I’m still figuring out which one is my medal-maker.
I wonder if there is any crossover pulling conventional and sumo? Like will pulling sumo help my conv, or v.v.? Hmm…
