Masch, I like that I can pull both too, I just with the numbers were a lot higher for both. I just need to give sumo more time and I can bring it up, I’m sure of it. I think there’s crossover one way, and not the other. At least, I think so. Not sure which one helps which though. Maybe doing both helps both, and it just seems like they help eachother? I dunno, don’t really care about the “how” as long as it works!

And thanks, Low energy bench was just because of the pulls before, and the 2442384234 sets of it. Gets old sometimes, but still yet to miss a rep.

In terms of Sumo vs conv, I read an article (I can’t find it-- pretty sure on EFS) that if your DL is stronger than your squat (figuratively not literally), work sumo (more carryover to squat) more than conv. If squat is greater than DL, and you’re more comfortable in conv, pull conv and work box squats into your regimen.

Food for thought I guess.

Last night, flyes 5x10, rack pulls 280x4/325x4x2/345x4 done conventional. Can’t sumo in the rack right, need a few more inches (LOL) more room in it to get my feet right. Oh well.

Personally, I love being able to pull both conventional and sumo! But only because I think its nice to be a well-rounded lifter. And I was told by a reputable source that there’s not reason you can’t train both and excel at both (obviously for meets you’ll pick the one you’re better at or most comfortable with). I’m still figuring out which one is my medal-maker.

I wonder if there is any crossover pulling conventional and sumo? Like will pulling sumo help my conv, or v.v.? Hmm…

For me at least, conventional going up means my sumo is going up.

Sumo going up does not necessarily mean my conventional is going up.

Hmm…honestly, I am not sure. I am just now really getting back to squatting, so I will keep you posted.

Patch, thanks, and there is no running yet. I’ll start that nonsense AFTER my meet. I got better things to do with my time, like eat and sleep. Don’t worry about me, when it comes down to it, I’ll be ready enough for the things I plan on running.

Did NOTHING yesterday, and it felt great. Looked ahead at this weeks lifts, and they’re going to be fucking hard. PR’s erryday.
