And for your final question, yes, they’re just like rack pulls except instead of the weight resting on the barbell and the pins, it’s on the plates and whatever “blocks” you’ve got. It makes the bar “feel” more natural when you start to pull. I’m sure there’s a science to it, that someone has explained why (if) they’re better than rack pulls.
