I’ve been training, just too busy to post. The major highlights are all from this weekend when I was down at the club both Friday and Saturday. They are:
Friday Squat:
New personal best of 345lbs!!!
I used the tighter suit I’ve been deadlifting in lately. I lost my air right as I came out of the hole so it was definitely a bit of a struggle, but I pushed through, apparently with lots of room for more weight.
It went like this (I didn’t plan on hitting a PB until the straps down was going so well)
135x5x2
185x3x1
225x1x1
Suit on:
255x3x1 → HIGH! Straps down, no wraps
275x1x1 → Straps down, wraps
315x1x1 → Straps down, wraps (So happy I did this straps down. So exciting
)
345x1x1 → Straps up, tighter wraps
Saturday Bench:
Went for a new personal best of 195lbs and missed it twice. I handled the weight very well and comfortable, but couldn’t get more then a few inches off my chest. It just wasn’t my day. I felt good with it though which is important. Next time I’m there and “feel” it, I’m going to get it.
45x10x1
75x5x1
95x3x1
105x3x1
Shirt on:
135x3 → 3 board
155x2x2 → 2 board (the first set was really ugly cuz I tried to get the shirt to do all the work)
175x1x1 → to chest, super super quick
195x0x2 → to chest, held it well, controlled it well on the way down, hit the sweet spot, just didn’t move a whole lot. I was gassed.
I then did a few deadlifts raw (no belt):
185x5x2
225x3x3
That’s about it. I’m busy, but actually getting to enjoy my long weekend. Before benching on Saturday morning, I went on a helicopter ride around Niagara Falls, so I was still a little queasy and dizzy when I started benching. We had lots of company at the club this weekend including the guy who ran my June meet and someone who competed in Ottawa. It was nice having different eyes around to offer different opinions.[/quote]
I heard about your PB squat Friday night and was waiting for you to post this. Frank said it looked very good and solid.
Congratulations.
