I wish I could remember the name of the guy who introduced himself to me on my squatting day Sunday… only to see if it was gender neutral… as I was warming up he was in the power cage and after staring at me (I had my headphones in) forever, he finally asked if I would mind watching him squat because he’d “never done this before”. I obliged only because I wasn’t in a cunt-ish mood yet.

Note: Generally I would have no issues helping someone who asked, however I’ve seen this guy at the gym at least a dozen times in the last few months and have seen him successfully 3/4 squatting before. Therefore he lied to me to chat me up. He even asked (after I offered some tips) if he could watch me squat.

Anyways, long and short of it is he said “Hey, what’s your name by the way? My name is ______”. I paid attention long enough to say my name then left the racks. Yesterday he was in there just after ddot left and I was back to emasculate Taylor some more and he waved with this really big stupid grin on his face.

I think I need a t-shirt that says “I may look nice, but I’m not, so fuck off”. Todd, my birthday just passed…maybe you can get me a belated gift.

Poor boy shouldn’t try to keep up with me. I actually forget exactly what I said to the kid, however my favorite part was after I emasculated him I followed up with “Oh, I’m Courtney by the way”. He reminds me of my little brother all tall and lanky… plus I think they’re the same age. I’m sure he was trying to be all cool in front of me, but I eat little boys like that for breakfast and spit them out, heartbroken before 10 :slight_smile:

Actually felt pretty good going into deadlifts yesterday. I got them in before volleyball and actually had a great volleyball game as well. I had some energy and it helped that I was deadlifting with Scottie because, frankly, he has so much energy and is always in such a great mood that you can’t help but be happy and energetic when you’re with him. Anywho…

Good session, was a little beat up after deads. The first 4 I pulled pretty quickly and I had to reset for each of the last two because the bar wasn’t anywhere close to lined up where it should be. The last one was rough and slow, but still good.

Then went and played in the sand for an hour. We won all 4 games. It was super muggy and I got covered in sand. So, I decided it was a good idea to go directly to my brother’s lacrosse game and then directly to a late night tea drinking, guitar listening hangout with a friend. I’m a little rough around the edges this morning, but only have a half day of work. I need to get home, pack, and be ready for 1pm when I’m getting picked up to go to Ottawa to watch everyone lift. Yay!

With your 320 max, how do you calculate that? Did you pull 320 raw and I missed it? If so, I hate you. Nice job with the 260, tho.

I pulled 315 raw a while ago and it came up pretty quickly…nowhere near a ‘max effort’. So I decided to go with 320.
