Let's Try This: Grneyes' s Log

How nice it is for you to have your own live-in trainer.

I often skew my hips in plank position, and I do a weird leaning thing while squatting sometimes. Everyone has imbalances.

It’s been 7 days since my last trip to the gym. Today was an extremely short workout: only rack pulls and pull downs. I went back to rack pulls since I pulled my back doing DLs and IH thinks it’s better that I strengthen my core. He’s going to re-vamp my program to that end.

Rack Pulls: 5 x Bar, 10 x 65, 10 x 95, 10 x 95.

Wide-Grip Pulldowns: 2 sets of 10 x 80.

Squats:
5 x Bar
5 x 65
6 x 95
6 x 95

DB Lunges: 2 sets of 8 x 12.5 per leg.

Leg Extensions: 2 sets of 10 x 70.

Lying Leg Curls: 2 sets of 12 x 65.

IH is working on revamping my program so I’m kind of just fiddling around until then.

Bench:
5 x Bar
10 x 65
10 x 65

I am working on form, making sure my right side doesn’t flare out, so I won’t be going up in weight any time soon. IH is watching me to make sure I stay even and straight. Since I can’t feel it I wonder if having him tape me would help?

DB Curls:
4 x 20
5 x 20
5 x 20

Incline Bench:
5 x Bar
6 x 65
6 x 65

I still have to get used to doing these fatigued. I feel so weak when I can barely do 6 when before I was repping out 10 almost no problem.

Tricep Extensions:
10 x 30
6 x 40

Cable Crunches: 2 sets of 15 x 50.

Tomorrow is an off day since I have a job interview. Hopefully this one won’t be canceled as I’m walking out the door…

fingers crossed xx

Thanx, N! Your crossed fingers worked! They hired me on the spot! I start training Nov. 15!!!

Fuck yeah!!

anyone else need some frenchie magic? lol. good news Greenie

Cheesy, but whatever:)

CONGRATS BABY!!!

Rackpulls:
5 x Bar
10 x 65
10 x 95
10 x 115

Wide-Grip Pulldowns:
6 x 80
6 x 90
6 x 90

Seated Rows: 3 sets of 10 x 60

Facepulls: 2 sets of 12 x 40

Cable Crunches: 2 sets of 20 x 50

I’m glad to see my numbers returning. The rackpulls, while I felt them in my lower back, did not feel awkward or painful. My back muscles feel well used, with no pain, which I think is a good thing.

Tonight is the Samhain celebration that I’ve been invited to. I’m sure there will be lots of yummy food and good conversation and for me, at least, lots of curiosity.

So happy for you!
Kudos on the job just awesome news.

Nice rack pulls!
I know the lower back feeling you’re talking about, like you can FEEL them, but it’s not pain. Just feels like they’re getting stronger

Nikki, exactly! It’s a good pain!

Thanx, Hallowed! It is such a relief to know that I will be getting a paycheck. It’s been interesting being a housewife for the past few months, but I’m ready to go back to work.

Bench Day! Since I am working on form, my weights won’t go up anytime soon, but it’s better to correct form now than to get to a weight and totally fail and do some serious damage. I have to say, as this was the first “real” bench rehab day, I actually feel like I’ve benched correctly for the first time, as in using the all the correct muscles. My chest actually feels like I’ve used it. My triceps feel worked, my elbows feel worked, I feel good.

Bench:
8 x Bar
7 x 65 <—Really concentrating on keeping my right elbow in.
8 x 65 <—IH said the first rep was perfect, every rep after got worse and worse, and then the last rep was as perfect as the last one.
10 x 55 <—Really concentrated on going down slow (and to the same spot) and exploding up.

DB Bicep Curls:
6 x 20
5 x 20 <—Again, trying to go down slow and explode up…the exploding part didn’t work so well…
10 x 12.5 <—The exploding part worked this time.

Inclines:
10 x Bar
8 x 55
8 x 55
Again, really concentrating on form, not flaring my right elbow, keeping the bar in the same path going down and going up.

Close Grip Partial Bench: 3 sets of 10 x Bar. This is new, to help with the “exploding” part I have trouble with. My triceps are super weak and this totally worked them!!!

Cable Crunches: 2 sets of 20 x 50.

Smart girl.

Thanx, Snap!

Squats:
5 x Bar
10 x 65 <—These are easy again!
7 x 95
7 x 95

DB Lunges: 2 sets of 8 x 12.5

Supersetted:

Leg Extensions: 2 sets of 10 x 70
Lying Leg Curls: 2 sets of 12 x 65

Calf Raises:
12 x 50
15 x 50

Today is measurement day:

Weight: 170 (+5)
Waist: 35 (no change)
Ribs: 36 (+1)
Bust: 40 (+1)
Hips: 41 (no change)

Pretty sure the weight gain is because there were a couple of times I didn’t work out for almost a week (once was feeling depressed, once was my back) and my diet kind of slid more into the unhealthy parts of the food groups. I love that according to my chest measurements I should be a D, but I’m barely a C. I must be gaining muscle somewhere…

WOOHOO!

Ummm…thanx, Ink…

Rackpulls:
5 x Bar
10 x 95
10 x 115
6 x 135

Wide-Grip Pulldowns:
5 x 80
7 x 90
7 x 90

Seated Rows:
10 x 60
5 x 80

Bench:
10 x Bar
10 x 55
10 x 55
5 x 65
Really concentrating on keeping my right elbow in and the bar in the same path down and up (hitting the nipple line).

DB Bicep Curls:
10 x 12.5
10 x 15
10 x 15

Inclines:
10 x Bar
6 x 55
6 x 55
Still getting used to doing these “fatigued”. I feel weak, but at least I know why.

Close-Grip Bench: 2 sets of 10 x Bar. This really kills my triceps. It’s great.

Sooooooo…went looking for a car today, a used one. My job starts a week from Monday so I wanted to go car looking to see what was out there and get a rough estimate of what I could and could not afford. Thankfully my credit has greatly improved (yay for paying bills on time!!!) and I was able to lease a 2011 Malibu!!! It’s gorgeous! I love it. I got to drive it home today and will finish the paperwork and get my permanent plates on Tuesday.

yeah for the wheels!

Talk about inspiration! Looking through people.com and they had a thing on DWTS Twitter pix. Came across this one of Jennifer Grey doing the splits! She looks great for 50! And that back is to die for! Despite having pins in her neck, surviving cancer, having a neuroma on on one foot, and back problems, she is doing battling through them all!

Not to mention surviving Patrick Swazye’s snake hips…also can I have her legs please?

Super late to the party but…congrats on the new job!! Also congrats on the new whip! The “Malibu” sounds like the kind of car you’d get arrested in while doing blow off the dashboard with your tub-top inside out…don’t get any ideas tho missy. What color is it?

Nice training as always Greenie - 55 while fatigued on the incline is fantastic!
