Cool thing is, it’s a 5 minute walk…at the most.

The gym isn’t that big, but they have all the basics and that’s all I care about.

Hey Grneyes!

I dont do much for abs except a few times a week Ill throw some situps in my workout and grab whatever plates I have strewn on the floor. But I figure I hit them with all my compound lifts. I am going to be adding more however.

I’ve settled on decline sit-ups with a rope handle on a low cable. Great pull throughout the entire movement. i only do it once a week, and treat it like working any other muscle. in this case, pyramid sets, up and down the stack. this and planks.

I walk for 20 minutes 2 times a week on the treadmill. It’s not a lot, just a little.

I can’t wait for you to get your ass to my gym.

Sorry for the lack of posts and training. My schedule sucked over the weekend. :frowning:

But here’s today’s work out. I actually used a barbell today and got a blister. :slight_smile:

Stretching.

Bench: 2 sets DB 10x10, 2 sets BB 10x20.

Flys: 10x25, 3 sets 8x40.

Front Press: 3 sets of 10x20.

Lat Raises: 2 sets DB 5x12.

1.25 miles on treadmill at 3.3 mph and 1.5% incline.

I’m actually feeling soreness in other muscles than just my shoulders, which I’m really happy about. When I was working out over the summer, the only thing that hurt were my shoulders, no matter what exercise I did (back or shoulder). I take this to mean I’m actually doing something right. :slight_smile:

im confused about your weight/rep listing. were the flys 10lbs?

and yay for something other than your shoulders hurting! keep up with the pec and trap stretching!

No, actually that was a machine. I try to list it as reps/weight.

Well, since I’m usually by myself and a newbie, I go light. The 20 lb BB did feel light. The weird thing is, when doing the Front Press machine, I have to do it with no weight b/c it’s so heavy! I can barely do 10 reps. Which is why I did it with the BB this time.

It feels great! I work out, go to work, go home, and I sleep so well! I’m such a moron for stopping.

LOL No, then I would be deprived of epic status updates like that! It’s like the chick I saw at the YMCA my dad goes to. She was on the elliptical when we got there, already had sweat stains on her shirt, went to the ab machine for about 10 minutes, then back to the elliptical. She was still on the elliptical when we left one hour later.
