Let's Try This: Grneyes' s Log

Deadlifts:
5 x 65
5 x 75
3 x 85
3 x 85
I taped the two sets of 85. The first set looked much better than the second. Unfortunately my laptop is in the shop so I cannot upload the vids.

Wide-Grip Pulldowns:
5 x 60
10 x 70
10 x 70

Some day I will do a complete work out. I’ve gained back an inch on my waist and that makes me not happy.

:frowning:
Is it TOM?
Or delish foods from celebrating with IH?

Don’t worry about the inch darling, keep up the good work.

Nikki, I don’t get TOM. It’s the combination of the food and being lazy. Been buying ice cream lately…stopped taking my protein shakes, just overall not eating good.

Congrats on the meet, also! I’ve been cheering you on from the side lines… you just don’t hear me.

And, thank you very much, Claire:)

Seated Rows: 10 x 40, 10 x 60.

Nice workout Greeny, looking like a more “full” workout it seems

Keep it up!

Traitor.

Snap, sorry! LOL! I will keep doing conventional, to switch it up.

So, I mentioned to IH that I wanted to be able to squat the “big” plates. To that end, today was just a squat workout day. I did 7 sets of half squats and one set of full squats. I did get to 125 on the halfs and a rep PR on the fulls. Hopefully within the next 3-4 squat days I will be able to do full squats with the “big” plates.

Half Squats: 5 x bar, 5 x 65, 5 x 95, 3 x 105, 4 x 115, 3 x 125, 3 x 125.

Full Squats: 6 x 105. <—Rep PR+3.

Calf Raises (for the hell of it): 10 x 40.

woot woot!!!

Yay for squatting the big-girl plates! You’ll get there in no time at all.

And Sumo FTW!

Nice work Greenie

Masch: Big girl plates ftw!!

Incline BB Press:
5 x Bar
5 x 65
5 x 65
2 x 70 <—PR

Bench:
5 x Bar
10 x 65 <—Rep PR+3!! These were SO easy! I didn’t feel them until rep 7 so I decided to do as many as I could.
4 x 75 <—This could be a PR but I did do 1 x 80 once, so until I either do 2 x 80 or 1 x 85, I’m not counting it.
2 x 75 <—I hit the bar support on rep 2 and started laughing, couldn’t get rep 3 off of my chest. Luckily IH was spotting me!!!

Preacher Curl: 10 x Bar. I don’t know how much this was, maybe 20 lbs? I didn’t like them though so I went back to my DB curls.

DB Curls: 2 sets of 10 x 15.

I am feeling so awesome on bench day now that I’m doing inclines. Bench Day used to be my least favorite day because I felt so weak, but now I’m doing so well, it’s my fave day. I liked bench day before, but just the least of the three day split because of being “weak”.

I have to say that since IH and I established goals (bench/squat/DL 100 lbs each) I’m feeling very much better in the gym. I’ve already made the squat goal so now that goal has moved to squatting 1 plate (or is it 2 plates, one for each side?). I definitely want to be able to squat/DL my body weight, which has gone down to 175 from 186. I know it would be down more if I ate better, but that’s okay. My diet might not get better, it might, we’ll see. I (we) need to cook more, but with a kitchen the size of a broom closet it’s hard to do.

I do need to do longer workouts, maybe add some cardio more regularly and that should help too.

Having goals is so important. It sounds like you’ve got yours nailed down for now. The beauty is that they can be changed as you meet them.

Keep up the great work. I really enjoy following your log.

I feel that way about bench day. Funny how we love things when we get better at them

Sweet PRs, I must say.
And goals are important but better yet, FUN! I love working towards something.

Oh, and nice weight loss!

You’re doing a fabulous job Greeny.

losing weight without really trying is awesome, congrats!!..which probably means you can get where you want(when you want) with ease, most likely.

I’ve always struggled to lose weight. You’ve heard of a hard gainer? I’m a hard loser

Congrats once again on everything!!

What MiM said

Holy crap… You should’ve seen the look on her face when she got that PR…

Greeny had the biggest ear-to-ear grin i’ve ever seen:) It was adorable.

I’m really proud of her.
