Greeney, your bench is gonna slay my bench any day now. Same with squats. Nice job!
Yeah, the kimba-look-alike was doing a weird workout. That is alot of pressing!

I hope the tips help you out. It’s not a big concern, my left arm is the same way since I’m a rightie. I hope it works out, the ladies posted some great suggestions.

Yeah, I’ve never seen her do that before. IH thinks I need a TN break since I see so many other people who resemble people on here. This lady reminds me of you because she’s little but tough/strong and always does pull ups/chin ups.
Deadlift Day!
So this was my second day doing deadlifts. Masch was right, I LOVE THEM!!! They do kill my hands though, I get blisters super fast when I do them. I do them conventional because that is how IH knows how to do them and how he taught me. I definitely need to film myself though so I can make sure my back stays straight and isn’t rounding. Thankfully my camera has a video option so I can do it on that. ![]()
DL: 5 x 75, 5 x 85, 5 x 85.
DB OHP: 3 sets of 10 x 12.5. These were light to me, but since it was my first time doing them I kept the weight easy and concentrated on form. Maybe next time I will try the 15s.
Widegrip Pulldowns: 10 x 80, 3 x 90. I didn’t feel bad about only getting 3 at 90lbs because I had gotten 10 at 80 which was 3 more than last time.
Cable Crunches: 2 sets of 10 x 40.
Lol! I love your enthusiasm!
I’m glad you like the DLs - i like them mostly b/c they make me feel strong like bull! I don’t pull conventional tho, I pull sumo - but i’m thinking to switch once I reach my weight goal. I need to strengthen my back first tho (which is why I’m doing some light weight/high rep rack pulls right now).
Great training greenie!!
yeah for the rep PR greenie - gotta celebrate those too.
Squat Day!
Squats: 5 x bar, 5 x 65, 10 x 85, 5 x 95. <—half my body weight!! Strangely enough, IH said that my last set, at 95lbs was the best, form wise.
Calf Raises: 2 sets of 10 x 40. I only do these every few weeks b/c the shoulder pads leave red marks. ![]()
DB Lunges: 2 sets of 16 x 15.
Leg Curls/Extensions (supersetted): 5 x 65/6 x 55, 10 x 65/10 x 55.
Cable Crunches: 10 x 40, 2 sets of 15 x 50.
you’ll be in a bikini this time next year!!
Great training…your kicking butt!

Thanx! I hope so!
I am already looking forward to that deadlift video! Great work ethic, Greeney. You are really going after it.
Congrats Greeny! I love the calluses on my hands! I’m like Masch, I feel strong as hell doing DLs. I’m really short and when I load the 45s on the bar all of the guys do a double take. It rocks! You keep pulling, lifting and pushing these numbers and you will start losing the inches!
Your newb enthusiam…its cute. lol
Good Work So far.
Awesome on the squats! You really are killing it
Good stuff.
Bench Day
Bench: 5 x bar, 5 x 65, 5 x 65, 3 x 75, 3 x 75.
Flys: 10 x 55, 4 x 70, 4 x 70.
DB Triceps: 12 x 5, 4 x 10.
Incline DB Presses: 3 sets of 10 x 15.
Cable Crunches: 3 sets of 15 x 50.
Off Topic: Amber is home and is spayed and front declawed. She is sticking pretty close to IH, which is expected as he is her fave. She ate like a monster when she came home, cleaning out the wet food bowl and drinking half the water in the water dish. I guess there’s nothing like being home to improve the appetite. ![]()
That’s good that she’s even being near anyone. My cat was so depressed when she got spayed and declawed ![]()
Awesome workout, I don’t think I’d be able to lift up a 70 lb DB over my head, much less do a fly.

LOL…thank God it’s a machine! I never got the dumbbell flys down…kept straigtening my arms.
So today was a shitty day. First, IH’s ipod locked up and he fiddled with it for 20 minutes before saying “fuck it” and we went to the gym, which left us with only 30 minutes. Second, after doing my deadlifts and watching one of the oly lifting guys hit himself in the nose with an empty bar, I was not in the mood to lift. Thankfully, he didn’t hurt himself that bad and there was no blood. He’s not even sure how he did it. On the positive side, I did get a video of my deadlifts, which I will upload later.
Deadlifts: 3 sets of 5 x 75, 2 x 95 (video’d). It’s amazing how much heavier 95 lbs feels pulling from the floor than pulling from the knee. My deadlifts are going to progress a lot slower than my rack pulls. :\
Widegrip Pulldowns: 10 x 80, 3 x 90.
And that was it. We ran out of time and I was just not in the mental state to be there. Better to quit than to continue in a bad frame of mind.
there is always tomorrow. at least you showed up and moved around - points to you.

I agree.
And, yes… I did have a little “moment” with my ipod and spent more time than I should have trying to get it working… I hate not having my music when i’m working out.
I’m just anal like that.

Did you get your ipod working?
