Let's Talk Podcasts

Podcasts are great. They are free, you can auto-download episides by subscribing to them, and there’s tons of great content. If you’ve got itunes but never checked them out I highly recommend it.

For those in the know…what are your favorites? Are there any good training podcasts?

I am a poker fanatic and so the 2+2 pokercast is my favorite. The only other decent poker podcasts i’ve found are the ESPN Poker Edge and Pokerbeat (from itunes anyway). All the others are crap.

I’m looking to expand my horizons though so I’d like to check out any random but good suggestions you have.

The Fitcast
Iron Radio
No Agenda

The Fitcast
The Frogpants Studios

oh and…In my own post before

“Use the search”

sorry…I forgot to use the search

I used to listen to Adam Carolla a bit. Probably not for everyone though.

Redbarradio

Smodcast ! Kevin Smith now hosts 4 different podcasts on his website now, all of them are pretty good, but him and his producing partner, Scott Mosier, are fucking amazing together.

BS Report with Bill Simmons, This dude is so much more then sports, though he knows his shit with it as well. Has a lot of good hollywood connections because he used to write for Jimmy Kimmel. Doesn’t give a shit about what people think about him, regularly talks shit about celebs, even though there is a chance he will run into them. Funny, honest guy that you would wanna hang out with.

Adam Carolla, essentially has taken his radio show to the internet. I think most T-Nation guys would like him.

The FitCast
Real Time with Bill Maher
Word Nerds (now defunct)

nobody else is listening to podcasts ? What the hell do you guys listen to during FMC ?!?!

The FitCast (Kevin Larabee)
In the Trenches Fitness (Mike Robertson)
Iron Radio (Charles Staley)
The Strength Coach Podcast (Mike Boyle)

Don’t listen to any non-S&C/nutrition ones at the moment.

I’m listening to Adam Corolla as I type this.

“Recently I’ve noticed that I don’t really need glasses when I’m just out and about but when I’m reading everything just looks sooo blurry. But the jokes on my eyes because I don’t read!!” -Adam Corolla

If you’re in to movies, Scene Unseen is a wise choice. The two hosts CHris and Jimmy both attented film school and they have a clever premise. They stopped making episodes, but all of the archived episodes are worth a listen; especially the older ones.

I can’t stand the Fitcast. THey cover things that are posted all over the nation and none of them are really entertaining. I guess if you just want information it’s alright, but I’d say it has a pretty low entertainment value.
