Not sure if this is the thread to post this, but lately I’ve been playing the game of “can I reel her in,” even though I have no intention of doing anything with her.
I think I’ve been doing this because I have played the field a bit, but am getting married.
Case in point a trainer girl in a gym I visit in a town where I don’t live — but have house because I have rigs in the area and don’t want to make the drive.
Cute blond, very fit, married to a guy she supports.
Anyway, she’s approached me every time I come in to chat, wants to “do legs together” commented on my legs, wants to “bulk get muscles like me” etc. Shows off and copies things I do – e.g., squating without shoes.
I knew she was “in” because — other than the body language — she started talking about how she loves to go the VFW bar and hang out.*
Now, I am a member of the VFW and have been this particular one time, mainly because its full of old professionally drunk men reliving Korean war and cigarrete smoke. But she saw my license plates (bronze star) and commented on them. So, I presume she knows I am a vet, and to her (early 20s) that’s where vets go and hang out.
It’s also dark, you have to be a member of the VFW to get in, so if you want to run around on someone who is not a VFW (e.g., her husband), it’s a great bar to go to.
I’ve been playing her along, and she’s eager.
All it would take is a “hey, let’s go to the VFW”
Curious if other guys reel in girls like this without intention of closing the deal, or if I am just a freak.

Well, there’s a few options here. One is to go to somewhere where the ratio is more like 1:1 or worse, and practice there. Figure that one out, and you’ll be better for it.
Another is to be happy with 7-8s. Most guys in most places wouldn’t be complaining.
Yet another is to find a way to surround yourself with 9+'s, and get yourself comfortable and relaxed in their presence. Strip clubs, on weekends, tend to be filled with a handful of quite-a-bit-above-average girls. Not sure how it is in Rio, but that’s an option. Don’t waste your money there, but just get yourself past the point where you’re intimidated.

THAT is the problem. Imagine walking into a club with a 8/10 or whatever, and seeing all your homeys getting APPROACHED by 9+s? It’s maddening. This is why most guys here can’t keep a LTR going. Granted, some times they just want some free drinks and a lot of attention, but who doesn’t want to have that opportunity to bang a chick like that?
There’s a down side though, now picture going to a club where there’s like 20 dudes altogether, but 2 of them are national soccer stars? There’s no way in hell I can compete with that money man, I play fucking FOOTBALL and have a part time job - a 20 buck drink for a chick that might not fuck me all of a sudden does not seem like the best idea.

If you scale down the numbers by 1-1.5… maybe even 2 points, I’ve seen this happen in a few places, at least where the girls do outnumber the guys 4+ to 1. Some colleges have really weird gender proportions. The girls get really competitive and go all out to make themselves into 8+s.

Yes, but I haven’t done it for awhile. I was trying to make a LTR work for the past few years, so I laid off it for the most part. Looking back on it, I have no idea how I pulled that off. Even during college – an engineering school that was 10:1 guys to girls – I had a couple girls like that. I was a nobody.
But yes, there’s a lot of fun to be had just in maintaining and drawing out that sexual tension. I’ve enjoyed doing it.

That’s not that hard to figure out. You wanted this girl for years and she was always unavailable, which gave you plenty of time to put her on a pedestal and want for her without being able to have her. I’ve found that if I’m single and looking and I made an attractive woman, it’s best to open up the potential for picking her up right away, the longer I wait to do it, the more I will think about how attractive she is and start giving her all these imaginary attributes and psyche myself out. That doesn’t mean I don’t eventually ask her out, but usually by the time I do my game isn’t on point bc I’ve created some backstory in my head that she’s a sweet girl and blah blah, thus I don’t approach her like I do every other woman, which is as a vagina with a mouth.

Well, here’s an update…
Talked to her couple hours ago. I had all these preparations on how to break it to her about her BPD. Well when I first saw her, all these preparations went out the window, and I just talked from my heart about what happened between us recently. She acknowledged that it was both of us that caused this clusterfuck. She wants to go back to being friends, and just focus on herself as she had all these problems pop up for the past couple weeks. I could see that she was shutting down when I asked about us.
So she put me on backburner. Well, I asked for this clusterfuck and I got it.
