First of all, the differences between a state having a health care plan and the US forcing Americans to have a federally run program are vastly different. It will take the Romney team about 30 minutes to counter such an idiotic attack. No doubt they’ve already got that ad written and ready for production. Romney has stated repeatedly “I will eliminate Obamacare” I’d say that’s pretty strong talk wouldn’t you? And that’s what the people want (at least 65% or so) the elimination of Obamacare. So that is a non-issue.

A non-issue? Yes, I know. That’s the problem. Obama will be able to make it a non-issue.
He didn?t cave when Chicken Littles in Washington invoked a manufactured crisis in 2008. He didn?t follow the pro-bailout GOP crowd ? including Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich ? and he didn?t have to obfuscate or rationalize his position then or now, like Rick Perry and Herman Cain did. He also opposed the auto bailout, Freddie and Fannie bailout, and porkulus bills.
Santorum opposed individual health care mandates ? clearly and forcefully ? as far back as his 1994 U.S. Senate run. He has launched the most cogent, forceful fusillade against both Romney and Gingrich for their muddied, pro-individual health care mandate waters.
He voted against cap and trade in 2003, voted yes to drilling in ANWR, and unlike Romney and Gingrich, Santorum has never dabbled with eco-radicals like John Holdren, Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi. He hasn?t written any ?Contracts with the Earth…?

Sloth the latest polls swing our way man. People hate Obama care by somewhere in the mid 60’s depending on which poll you check.
Romney has stated flatly that he will repeal Obamacare. It’s part of what he’s running on. It is a non-issue for hurting Romney. It is a really bad issue for Obama.
I just don’t trust Romney any more than I trusted Scott Brown. Romney just smells like an artificial Brylcreem politician. I would vote for him over Obama and weep bitterly afterwards.
@ZEB - I wasn’t comparing Newt to Reagan. However I would compare Obama to Carter in
many ways. People were pretty sick of Carter and the way the country was going by the end of
the 70’s. A time when a more conservative Republican candidate can get a look in? Well aware
of how he captivated the base and more besides with his 80 Presidential campaign though.
What do you think of this statement by Sarah Palin:
"The challenge of this election is not simply to replace President Obama. The real challenge is
who and what we will replace him with. It’s not enough to just change the uniform."
And why do you think that if Romney didn’t repeal Obamacare he couldn’t win in 2016? Hypothetically of course. Not suggesting Romney would flip-flop. Won’t the GOP just decide they can’t put up a conservative candidate like they want and go with Romney again?
So Newt has low numbers with women? How’s Romney doing with the Tea Party? Independents?
Hey if you want another four years of Obama send all your money to Gingrich and hope for the best. But if you want a 50/50 chance of removing Obama from the White House you go with Romney. The choice is clear, be a purist and suffer four more years of Obama. Or be smart and we might get rid of him.

I said it before, the only guy who can beat Obama with the current line-up is Mitty.

And apperantly there are polls that prove you correct.
Conservatives who feel the establishment is forcing their candidate down their throats
Conservatives who support the establishment as the lesser of evils
I’m not sure if 2 or 3 are right. I’m not sure that Romney would repeal Obamacare. Not sure it’s the best thing to rule out all candidates bar one at such an early stage.

LOL…you said “fruit Paul’s circus” HAha hahaha…Not enough has been said about how badly Paul is doing in all of this and how you and I were correct in our predictions many months ago. And all the Paulies were saying “Nu uh Ron paul is going to surprise you.” Well for the record every time I see him walk out on to the debate floor without the use of a walker–HE SURPRISES ME!
Whahahah–Ron Paul…
On a serious note he is the only candidate currently running for President who has a higher negative rating than Newt Gingrich. And that’s bad mister.

Not your poll though, because it has Paul within striking distance…
Hey, just make your own, you have your own reality, you should have your very own polls.

Please don’t forget rule number one of all good politicians and that is to get reelected. Romney has said so many times that he’d repeal Obamacare that whether he wants to or not he’ll do it. Unless you think he’s a poor politician and we both know that’s not the case.

However, you of all people should know that 30 days is an eternity in U.S. politics to say nothing of almost a year
