ive been “bulking” for like 2 years straight.

how much have you increased your lifts by and weight by?

its hard to tell from the angle but your legs look pretty similar in size. but if youve increased your weight used for a lot then obviously youve made improvements.

OP, if you’re doing DC you know how to react to criticism. Look at the bright side, you smoothed out but you gained size, lats and your hairline isn;t receding faster than the economy.
Don;t get me wrong, I;m sure a bald pale skinny guy with abs will get laid at the drop of a hat.

Yeah for the legs I think i’d really need to take measurements, its pretty hard to tell when there is nothing to compare to, but I had to switch jeans size not cause my waist wouldnt fit anymore but cause my legs wouldnt.

Weight increased by 25 pounds (not pretending thats all muscle tough lol)

As for lifts, on my page I have a training log going on in my “forum favorites”

I do not straight bench anymore (but can do 325 on decline for 6 reps) (old bench 1rm was 315)
I dont deadlift anymore, but I rack dead 435 for 6 reps (deadlift pr used to be 385…)
My 1rm squat was 365, I now do that for 7 reps

Training: interval sprinting 2x per week, weight training 1-3x per week TBT(BB squats, pushups, pull-ups)with very little(maybe 10 sec. rest) details missing.

Well boo hoo, both my parents went to college for 5-6 years, got GOOD jobs, and both work and make about 350k a year combined income easily.

They pay for my college, I have alot of crazy awesome shit that I never earned in anyway besides being born.

I got a car, a full ride in college, living expenses, I grew up in a huge house, we have boats, jetskis, an RV, you name it.

My parents got an education so that they could afford to provide for their children.

They went to college and got kick ass jobs so that I can go to college and get a kick ass job.

And Ill do the same thing for my kids.

zraw,that is a decent bulk.You defiitely gained a lot of muscle on your legs and back, and overall you are wider.IMO, dont cut, but adjust your calorie intake to stay at the this weight for some time, and hopefully you will regain your previous definition.I also think that you didnt gain a lot of fat, but rather you are retaining water that is blurring away some definition.Good job man.

Quads look similar even though you have improved your squat, maybe the improvement came more from better back and glute strength? maybe just the photo.
Calves look heaps bigger, wat did you do for calves?
As far as body fat goes, who cares? seems like most of the big guys recon you cant put on decent size without gaining extra fat. You don’t look like a fat ass and if you had a tan like in your before pics you would look better still. i would pay attention so that it doesnt go up too much more though.

Since someone brought it up, I feel the need to point out that you’re more doable now (even though you were pretty doable before). I’m sure you have no problems getting laid.

seriously though, ive yet to see one guy on here who claims that bulking to 15% is so damned awful who has put together half a decent physique. i thought it was common sense that if youre going to hate on someone’s method your counter method should have at least put you in shape. but then again its pretty obvious logic escapes those people to start with.

I mean, you’ve gained weight, but at what cost? If you was to cut now you’d look exactly the same as before.

Now of course I know you wouldn’t cut now for the reasons above, but if your level of progress stays the same there’s a good chance your BF levels would get to an undesirable level.

You look good right now, but you should look at any changes you can make to keep gaining mass but keep your BF % roughly the same, or at least not letting it get much higher.

Just some constructive critism there for you, other than that, good job.

Thansk for the advice. I’d disagree with your statement about looking exactly the same if I was to cut down tough.

I was already planning to add 2-3 sessions of morning cardio + lowering the cal intake a bit (probably take out natural pb + olive oil)

P.S. I gained muscle mass at 0 cost. I can still see my top 4 abs if I flex and I have such a high speed metabolism that this extra fat can be taken off easily

that’s a pretty good bulk IMO. you’ve definitely gained a fair bit of muscle without gaining too much fat.

Anyone who thinks that going up to 15% BF after a 25 pound weight gain is ‘gaining too much fat’ really doesn’t know much about gaining size or strength. At 15% bodyfat he probably looks better and is stronger & more athletic than the vast majority of this forum.

I’m not a fan of bulking up too much but 15% is well within the standard range of most strength and contact sport athletes, let alone someone whose focus is gaining size for bodybuilding. Even many boxers, wrestlers and MMA fighters walk around at about that weight when not specifically cutting for a fight. Personally I think 18~20%+ is about the mark someone is probably starting to go too far but the OP has done a very good job so far.
