Let's Define It

maybe I need one more category between “big” and “huge”. I say that because I would not consider Goldberg “huge”. I am bigger than that so “huge” is what I would call someone like kalimuscle on youtube or most of the guys competing as heavy-superheavy in NPC contests.

Let’s add “heavy weight” in between “big” and “huge”.
I agree. Goldberg at his peak has about 40lbs to 50lbs on the Crews pic I posted and they’re the same height so I couldn’t put them in the same category.

I think Goldberg is big. Would not qualify as heavy weight.
Really? He was about 270 with abs showing at 6’3". It’s all a matter of opinion in the end, but I think he’s qualifies as more than big.

Yea but like you said he is 6’3, which adds to the look. However he is not that muscular, legs are lacking. I think the Rock is bigger and when compared to someone bigger like Evan Centopani he is not Huge.

That is not to say he is not impressive.

This is about POSTING PICTURES of what these words mean.

Why would we care what some sedentary person thinks? To them, Tobey Mcgwire is BIG.
don’t forget BRAD PITT in fight club .that’s the ideal physique now.

This doesn’t make much sense. What if someone is smaller but has that holy shit factor. I hate to bring it up but size is easily trumped by outstanding aesthetics in this sport. Some 300lb line men are “heavy weights” and extremely muscular but do not have that holy shit factor of a 220lb MADTITAN. Are your categories based solely on muscular bodyweight?
?

Madtitan, while in great shape, is only about 170-180lbs. He is NOT that big.

I would rate him as “big” under these categories because he does look like he is very serious about training…but if I were standing next to him in clothes, I doubt BIG would be the first thing to come to mind.

He has great shape, but only people who are under-experienced would assume he is as big as you just wrote.

skinny:
(this is me when I started lifting, AFTER i had already gained around 10lbs)
5’11" 140lbs sporting those big ole 12" arms

Kinda working out:
Ryan Reynolds in Blade

Hm. Sorry about that than. I guess my argument was that “holy shit” can apply to bodybuilders in the “big” category as well. But you didn’t say that it didn’t. My mistake.

Big:
Riddick (Vin Diesel)

Dorian yates
Heavy weight to Holy Shit

Huge:
Dr. Clay Hyght when he competed

No.

Huge is way bigger than that. He looks like a lightweight to light heavy in that pic. I would possibly classify that as “heavy weight” but “HUGE” is reserved for the guys that start getting “holy shit, how big are you trying to get” on a regular basis.

fair enough.
How about Frank Mcgrath for Huge?

Where do you guys put Arnold during his Olympia days?

PX- It might help if you post a pic for each of your categories, like what you envisioned when you came up with these.

For me, the confusion is distinguishing 3, 4, and 5 – well, between 3/4 or 4/5.

Here’s a “Holy FUCK” for good measure.
Jeez…holy fuck!

He’s only a little larger (and a lot less lean) than reynolds (taking height into consideration) there.

compared to modern standards, and seeing what other people are posting, probably heavyweight or maybe huge.

Without a doubt… holy shit

People like to downplay him as much as he is overhyped by others. He had an amazing physique.

Physique-wise, he get’s a holy shit. Size-wise, huge.

It’s not a very good picture. He had some decent size during that movie. I could be wrong though. Keep in mind that this is all a matter of opinion.
