That’s a lot of work on the deads. I like it!

Yeah, thanks, I have like a headache now.
I love your log.
In regard to upper body muscular soreness, I feel DLs mostly in the traps.
I haven’t actually gotten sore triceps from deads, but I have from straight-arm pull downs. Same idea there.
Also, I like how you’re doing speed sets with what are basically my work set weights.
What are you using the bent-over rows for?

Yeah, same, same. Traps here also. Especially if I do sets of 10 or whatever.
But I get some long head tri soreness and I just wonder if I’m the only one…

“Straight arm pull downs”: as in scapular rolls or as in those abs wrestling things I used to see some folks do (standing analogs to the ab wheel?)
I am primarily using bent over rows because I decided to start posting again and my Friday workout looked kinda anemic with “deads” followed by “deads.” I think “deads” followed by “deads” followed by “rows” makes me look busier. Seriously.
Since I’ve done them for a few weeks I imagine the posture (hyper extension) and the lat work associated with them “might” be opening up my spine a bit. And it is the only bicep work I get.
These things:
ps: I see nothing wrong with deads followed by deads, with a few more deads for assistance.
You sir are doing some bad ass pulling.

Okay, I get it. For long tri head, scapular stabilization? (e.g. rhomboids vs. serratus)
Deads after deads with deads. Does have a flow to it, right?

You are a gent. Thanks for saying as much.
I am old and right now I seriously wanna nap.
I also think I am hallucinating. Your avi appears to have changed between the time I first read your post and when I went to reply.

I can feel deads in the long head of my tri (particularly on the left arm) as soon as I set the bar down on every set of deads. I don’t feel any soreness the next day at all.
Hell yeah. Sometimes my triceps get sore, my biceps get sore, it feels like someone just hit me under my chest with an icepick or hammer and occasionally my hips hips feel like screaming when I do heavy deads. So, not to be sounding like some movie, but I think the pain just lets me know I’m working hard and I ain’t 21 anymore or 35 for that matter.
Good. I figure I use everything to include my eyelid muscles on deads. Sounds like you two guys too.
Thanks.
I’m NOT a freak. Well, at least not in regards to triceps.
12 workout weeks until the WNPF NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, July 19.
2 more WTF deadlift workouts and then some sort of 10 week cycle…

Under.
I failed AGAIN to break anything.
Common break some weight. I got a bazillion riding on the under/over at new odds +/-3.

Wednesday’s “what else is there to do on a Wednesday?” workout:

The “tillerman” note you put in KP’s log was one of the better more insightful notes I have read in here…

Seriously?
If so, thanks. I gotta admit almost wiped it out after I submitted it. I think I get preachy.
I guess nature is more concerned with us knowing where the back of our head is, since pretty much the rest of us in front of that. Good knowledge to have when fighting or ducking under branches. Nature is apparently less concerned with where deadlifts pull from.
