I just added two kg to my leg extension and my but lifts off the seat I’m gripping the handles on both sides to keep it on the seat
Is the weight to heavy or am I doing good correcting my self and keeping my but on the set with force on the handels
Are you actually able to pull yourself down into the seat and do the reps, or are you saying even with your hands your butt lifts?
If the former, you’re fine. Those machines often have seatbelts too.
For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t do the most weight you can possibly do leg extensions; I think your knees will take a beating. I’d focus on perfect form, flex at the topic get a miserable muscular contraction.
The weight is so heavy your lower legs don’t move and you knee extension yourself up into the air.

If you still want to do leg extensions, try 1 leg at a time so you don’t have to load as much weight on the machine.

OP, just lean back further and hold on tighter.
Agree. Good form with moderate weight and some intensifiers is the way to go IMO.

I meant when I did a beaver weight I gripped lightly on the handles and my buk lifted of the seat
Gripping tighter on the handles I was able to keep my bum on the seat
It’s just something I never experienced
