I have been training steady for close to a year now(I was lifting before that on and off for 2-3 years, but I honestly didn’t know what the hell I was doing), and I’m in my third week of westside.
I have gone back to the basics on my lifts, and I am really working on my form and technique. I just am still confused about the whole leg drive thing.
It makes sense to me in my mind, but I just can’t seem to do it to help my bench. I don’t understand the foot positioning or exactly “how” to drive with my legs.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
A leg drive on bench can be beneficial, but KEEP YOUR BUTT ON THE BENCH. Once you lift your butt off the bench you start to shift some of the weight to your legs. I dont use a leg drive and have a pretty hefty bench (rep 405). Good luck and keep training hard.

There’s a article by Sebastian that talks bout proper setup for the bench. He describes very well.
Got to www.metalmilitia.net and check out their forums.
