Leg Day...Unilateral or Bilateral

i love lunges, too bad most people do em retardedly and then bitch about how they’re either useless or decide to use balls and then just start screwing around with a perfectly good exercise. LUNGEZ AND MILK!

EDIT: oh and sometimes if I just need a break from squats, ill move completely over to heavy lunges and my squat always goes up by a couple pounds when I come back.

Eric Cressey’s “Maximum Strength” uses a ton of unilateral leg work, but it tends to usually come after some heavy bilateral leg work. Heavy front squats for low reps and then split squats after, etc. I tend to just consider unilateral stuff as assistance work. Doesn’t mean walking lunges aren’t hell though.

Alright, very nice, very nice…I appreciate all the replies, I’m gonna take a lot of what was said into consideration, primarily the idea of incorporating a good mix of both uni and bilateral work. Thanks guys.
