If it didn’t take 6 hours to just drive across the state of PA I would totally try and make one these beginner-type seminars. Maybe they can convince Steve to have one here? I know he had some of the EFS guys here one time.

cal- my parents taught me the blunt Bear treatment. someone recently asked my mother, “has she ALWAYS been like this?” with a sideways glance at me. mom thought for a moment then said “yes, but mostly really after she noticed that she can get away with it because people love her anyway.” HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
court so far: they’re elderly, and claiming a lot of $$ in damages and “medical bills”- or, their insurance company is. we’re just trying to make it stop. nobody on my side wants to drag it out and make this last forever, so we’re doing research and thinking things through to try to make it as short as possible.
greenie- yes ma’am! Learn to Train III. the biggest and best of the biggest and the best, all in one place at one time. Proceeds go to charity, and everyone walks away happy. I can only assume that my job will be to stand around and heckle people and look amazing, but i think i do that pretty well anyway. ha! I’m a peon, but i love being in those situations… to just sit back and listen. funny haha note- kroc is a retail pharmacist, i’m a retail pharmacy technician, we have our lolz.
koub- look at you, on top of things!! [/quote]
Kroc is a pharmacist? This might sound like some kind of -ism (smart-ism or job-ism), but I would never have picked that as a career for him.
@koub- functional training? hahaha! people are just assholes, what it boils down to. so if a few make it through, that’s okay with me!
@ greenie- people come from that far and farther just to be there. attendees, i mean. Carroll is coming from Florida, flying in I believe. But i’ll poke around and see who drove the farthest.
and yep, kroc is a pharmacist, cancer survivor, Marine, and genuinely nice guy. His wife is a doll, too. (no sarcasm)

took the opportunity the other night to tell dad that he looks like a fat turtle, and after mom’s inquiry i told her that she’s skinnyfat. gave them both a few simple things to do, so we’ll see how that goes. what i told dad (its true) is that I want him around for awhile because I’m not finished learning from him yet, and that I want him to look like the man I know he is- instead of a 65 year old man of means who looks 45 weeks pregnant.
I’ve tried this with them before. I hope it sticks.

LOL - I wish I had the balls to tell that to my parents. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer many years ago and was fortunate enough to overcome it and be cancer free now but she still eats like shit, is overweight and doesn’t exercise. Drives me nuts.
in Boston… that might be doable for me. gotta check into it.
what are you reading these days Bear?
A book i was supposed to have read in the spring for school… “Secret History” by leonora sansay.
I’m normally not one for epistolary novels, but this bitch is awesome.
oh and Dani- there’s no way i’d put up with that shit from my mom. ragemode, shape up and change your life if you value it, lose your daughter if you dont. I had to remind my parents that i shouldnt care more about their health than they do.

Is the bear hibernating? poke poke
I’m here i’m here!! Longer update soonish, maybe.
quickie-
sat @ efs- squat, up to 245x1. felt weak till i realized that’s my meet max (as of april 30). so i have 9 more weeks to go UP UP UP!!
dl, up to 275 or 285x3 x2. felt heavier than i thought it would, but i didnt mind much.
sun bench- from pins @ my sticking point (4ish inches off my chest) up to 185x2.5 (lil help on rep 3, steve didnt want me to quit. i didnt either.), 185x2, then 155x8.
lat pulldown with fat D-handle 8x3 @ 90lbs
cable pressdowns with fat bar 15x3 @ 90lbs
^^^^^^
2 diff machines there, and 90 on the pressdowns did not feel like 90 on the lat pulls. really there was no reason for me to change machines, just sounded like a good idea at the time. ![]()
school- hate my psych professor. hate her. really. not gonna cause probs, but i will fill out that evaluation THOROUGHLY.
work- new manager is doing FUCKING AWESOME (no sarcasm); i got rid of the stools so the fat cunt cant sit all day, then filed an official hostile workplace complaint after she threatened me, then she refused a mediated sitdown discussion. waiting to see what happens next.
other- life is awesome. need to enforce a bedtime for myself.
